The Glow Light Show is drive-through adventure that takes you through a wonderland of synchronized light displays with fun archways and illuminated installations that guests of all ages will love. We had a chance to drive through this display last year to see it for ourselves — and it’s amazing! You’ll definitely want to add a visit here to your holiday bucket list. You’ll see over one million LED lights from the comfort of your own car. The Glow Light Show will take place 7 days a week from 6pm-10pm. Tickets for this adventure are per car.
LIGHTS OF LIFE AT LIFE UNIVERSITY

Take a drive through the dazzling Lights of LIFE at Life University!
More than 100 pieces with a holiday theme are displayed throughout the 1.5-mile-long drive through the campus. The display of Santa and his sleigh stands over 65 feet high, making it the tallest in the Southeast!
They don’t just have lights! They also have a petting zoo, pony rides, and a train ride offered every day for a small fee. (The petting zoo is weather dependent.)
Each year the display is a little different, making each experience unique. With more than one million LED bulbs, combined with the low cost, Lights of LIFE is the most affordable, quality light display in the metro area. We’ve been to Lights of Life a few times, and every time we cannot believe how amazingly well-done it is. It’s truly awesome.
The admission price is $10 for cars and trucks and $20 for buses.
CALLAWAY GARDENS FANTASY IN LIGHTS

With more than a dozen larger-than-life lighted scenes, Fantasy In Lights remains unique in that its scenes are custom-designed especially for Callaway Gardens. They celebrate not only the joy of the season, but the wonder of nature in an idyllic setting.
We love Fantasy in Lights and go every year. If you don’t want to drive-through in your own car, you can also ride through in the open-air Jolly Trolley at no extra cost. (My kids love the Jolly Trolley best! Bring a jacket!)

WORLD OF ILLUMINATION

PETTIT CREEK FARMS CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Pettit Creek Farms has everything you need to celebrate the holiday season! Take a lovely drive or hayride through more than a mile of beautiful Christmas lights!
Capture holiday memories and visit Santa and his reindeer, Comet, and Cupid, at Santa’s Cottage. Pictures with your camera are included with admission! Santa is there Thursdays through Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Experience a nativity (animals on Saturday) and meet the animals at the petting zoo. You might even get a grateful kiss from a camel if you feed it a treat!
There is a concession stand with hot chocolate, warm cider, marshmallows for roasting and s’more kits. Patio heaters and campfires will be available to keep you warm, but bring a blanket for the hayride!

Each lantern is made and hand-painted by Chinese artisans, therefore representing thousands of hours of work. CELEBRATE THE STATION AT ATLANTIC STATION

View 250,000 lights within an 8-block radius at Atlantic Station‘s Celebrate the Station event. This is a wonderful FREE light display, and I love that you can walk around to see them all up close!
Set to the soundtrack provided by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, they’ve integrated the holiday tree lights, cafe lights surrounding Atlantic Green, all-new custom jumbotron animated video, and snow shows into one spectacular celebration that occurs every hour from 5-9 p.m. Monday – Sunday this holiday season.
The best part of the Atlantic Station holiday lights (other than the lights and the snow) is there is a TON to do. Visit the ice skate rink, do a little shopping, or enjoy dinner at one of their many restaurants. Celebrate the Station runs through December 31, 2024.

MARGARITAVILLE’S LAKESIDE LIGHTS SPECTACULAR AT LAKE LANIER ISLANDS

Kick start your holidays with a visit to Margaritaville’s Lakeside Lights Spectacular for a night of nostalgic wintry fun. After over 25 years, the Magical Nights of Lights came to a close in 2020, and the Lakeside Lights Spectacular opened in its place.
Instead of drive-through lights, these are walk-through lights! The Lakeside Lights Spectacular will take you on a magical walk through an amazing lighting extravaganza with festive seasonal music. Great for the whole family!

HOLIDAY LIGHTS OF HOPE

The Holiday Lights of Hope is a Christmas celebration benefiting the Anna Crawford Children’s Center. Five hundred families are helped by the center annually.
The annual event at Hobgood Park in Woodstock features a huge walk-through Christmas light display with more than 2,000,000 lights, concessions, vendors, pictures with Santa and so much more!
Kids under age 12 are free, all others are $10/person. Santa is there nightly from open to close. You are welcome to take pictures with your own phone/camera.
VIRGINIA HIGHLAND WINTERFEST TOUR OF LIGHTS

This one is a little different — because it’s for one night only!
This winter, they’re decking the halls of Virginia Highland with a prime tour of the neighborhood’s finest holiday houses! At the Winterfest Tour of Lights, you will get a map of homes with the most extravagant decorations. Some homes will be offering treats and beverages, and a few will even be showing off their backyards for participants.
The Tour of Lights will be on Friday, December 13 from 6pm to 9 pm, and tickets are $25. These homes won’t be lighting up until this evening, so you will be the first to see what they have in store!
LIGHTING OF THE RUINS AT BARNSLEY RESORT

The holiday lights at the Barnsley Resort ruins, gardens and village shine with more than 1,000,000 twinkling lights.
On November 27, 204, the property will host an official Village Lighting Celebration event. Celebrate the start of the festive season with a family-friendly holiday celebration, counting down to the official lighting of the Barnsley Resort Village. Enjoy visits with Santa, seasonal refreshments, hands-on crafts for kids and live music surrounding the center of the village.
The Village Lighting Celebration event is complimentary for resort guests and members, and requires a $60 parking pass for all others.
Visitors can visit during the holiday season to see all the lights decorating this beautiful resort.

Not free, but worth every penny, you can also ride the Santa Express or the Night Train to Santa’s Pavilion on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.

The winter light show, presented by the UGA Office of the President, follows a half-mile fully accessible trail down Candy Cane Lane, past creatures stirring and shimmering snowflakes, through a tunnel of multicolored lights, through a cone tree forest and into a holiday market.
Along the way, visitors can roast marshmallows for s’mores over an open fire, and enjoy rich hot chocolate or cold refreshments.
Don’t leave without buying a Condor Chocolates Winter WonderBar, created especially for Winter WonderLights, with a portion of the proceeds going toward education and conservation programs at the State Botanical Garden.

DOWNTOWN ATHENS PARADE OF LIGHTS

Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and Athens Downtown Development Authority are proud to present the Downtown Parade of Lights.
Entries will compete for such prizes as “Most Original Float,” “Best Use of Theme,” and “Best Use of Lights.” The best overall float will receive the “Mayor’s Award.”
The parade includes the traditional tree lighting ceremony at City Hall hosted by none other than Santa.
HOLLY JOLLY JEKYLL
Jekyll Island
When: November 29, 2024 – January 5, 2025
It’s the best time of the year! A time filled with lights, festive fun, and lots of cheer. Holly Jolly Jekyll is a great way to celebrate the season by visiting beautiful Jekyll Island and seeing the lights all over the island.
Drive through the Historic District to see the lights and The Great Tree. Jekyll Island is home to more than half a million lights during the Holly Jolly Jekyll season. This year Jekyll actually has over one million total light bulbs, 350 + light displays and 45,000+ lights on the Great Tree, which is more per square foot than the NYC Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
Visitors can also enjoy the Twelve Days of Christmas light displays that run from Great Dunes Beach Park to the Historic District, along Shell Rd. Count the days until Christmas in this coastal wonderland! You can drive through and see the lights for free from your own vehicle, or you can take a tour with Holly Jolly Light Tours for a fee.
We attend this every year and love it! We drive through it first, then park and walk through it again.

DECEMBER NIGHTS & HOLIDAY LIGHTS AT COASTAL GEORGIA BOTANICAL GARDENS

Each fall, the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens in Savannah experiences a magical metamorphosis. Millions of twinkling lights are strung across 5 acres to transform the beautiful botanical garden into an enchanted wonderland.
Newly created themes this year include Alice in Wonderland, Once Upon a Time (with a real fire-breathing dragon), Octopus’s Garden and Carnival of Color. Holiday Lights is a walking event and tickets must be purchased in advance.
This is a family-friendly event that includes live music and a “Merry Market” featuring local artisans and vendors. Kids (young and old) can enjoy s’mores stations, arts and crafts, and a special visit with Santa Claus.
LOCKERLY IN LIGHTS

Enjoy the holidays at Lockerly Arboretum! A family-friendly event, Lockerly in Lights in Milledgeville allows guests to drive through a winter wonderland filled with shimmering lights and festive, holiday cheer.
The one mile holiday lights display has emerged as a new seasonal favorite by offering guests a rare opportunity to experience Lockerly amid the moonlight. This year, they are offering both drive-through nights and walk-through nights.
Thursday nights are drive through only, 6pm – 9pm. Tickets $15 per car, cash only. Advance tickets are not available for drive through nights.
Friday and Saturday nights are walk through only and advance tickets are required. No exceptions. Tickets can be purchased for 6:00pm, 7:00pm or 8:00pm entrance time. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 3-12 , 2 and under are free.

MAIN STREET CHRISTMAS LIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA

Witness a colorful canopy of 1,000,000+ lights moving in time to Christmas music on the city streets of Macon with a visit to the Main Street Christmas Light Extravaganza! The best part? It’s FREE!
Hear your favorite Christmas carols, but with a new twist! Christmas lights are synchronized to music arranged and produced by Macon Pops, an innovative, high-energy, and world-class orchestra that performs with orchestral musicians from around the southeast and across the country.
Shows occur nightly November 29, 2024 through January 5, 2025, at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. The lights will stay on nightly from 10 to 11pm. Show 1 takes place at 6pm and 8pm, and Show 2 takes place at 7pm and 9pm. Each show lasts for about an hour. Stick around to catch both shows to hear all the merry sounds of the season!
The Main Street Christmas Light Extravaganza spans 5.5 city blocks in the center of downtown Macon. Nightly shows are completely open and FREE to the public. You can catch the lights in Downtown Macon on Poplar Street from First Street to MLK Jr. Blvd. and on Third Street from Poplar Street to Cherry Street.

WILD LIGHTS AT CHEHAW PARK

See Chehaw Park and Zoo in Albany in a whole new light as you stroll through their brand new Wild Lights! This walk-through path allows you to travel portions of the zoo path by foot. Make sure to stop by the Kids Zone for crafts, games, and activities.
Before you leave, stop by the Sugar Shack for hot cocoa, roasted marshmallows, and s’mores by the fire. Coffee bar, beer, wine, and concessions also available. Around every corner, you’ll find great photo ops!

LIGHTS OF JOY

You have GOT TO visit Lights of Joy in Kennesaw — it’s the Largest Residential Christmas Light Display in Georgia with more than 850,000 lights. I mean, it was a 2019 ABC’s Christmas Lights Fight Contestant! It’s an amazing walk-through Christmas lights display that you will have to see to believe.
The most prominent feature of the display is the lighting of the landscape. There are over 230 trees with lights in them. The trunks of the pine trees are wrapped in colored lights and the hardwood trees are filled with white lights. One tree has over 20,000 lights in it and there are three additional trees with approximately 15,000 lights each. And there are nine musical trees. It’s truly spectacular.
Lights of Joy is FREE, and donations are accepted. They encourage you to park across the street at the Influencers Church and walk to see the lights. The inside circle was new in 2018. It now contains 400,000+ lights and you cannot see it with a drive by. No pets, please!
THE LIGHTING OF AVALON

This year, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite Sparkle House! From Sunday, November 24 until Sunday, December 8 at 6pm, visit the Sparkle Village and vote for the house you feel embodies the most holiday spirit. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced at 6pm by Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul before the Christmas tree and menorah lighting.

When: Light Up Dunwoody begins November 17, 2024; Brook Run Park Lights December 1-31, 2024
Dunwoody will kick off the holiday season with the return of its most anticipated festive holiday event, Light Up Dunwoody. Santa Photos, Reindeer, Holiday Dancers, Choral and Musical Performances, Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting!
Holiday lights will also return to Brook Run Park with three times as many lights as last year. The 3rd Annual Holiday Lights theme is Brook Run Sweet Shoppe! Brook Run will come to life in 85,000 sugarcoated lights, complete with a chocolate volcano, candy castle, ice cream land, and more! On Opening Night (Dec. 1), you’ll find FREE hot cocoa and popcorn carts open at 4:00 p.m, and lights turn on at 6:00 p.m.
LIGHTS OF ATHENS AT CHICK-FIL-A

This is not your average business light display, y’all!
Locals have known for awhile that the Atlanta Highway Chick-fil-A’s lights are something special, and now people are coming from neighboring towns just to see the thousands of lights that literally cover the restaurant! It really is amazing. When we go, we always get our food and eat it from the back of the pick-up truck in the parking lot — that way we can really enjoy eating under the lights!
This is the perfect stop during the Christmas season. Don’t forget to get a peppermint shake!
LIGHT THE NIGHT AT NATIONS CHURCH

When: The Month of December 2024
The Nations Church Christmas Light Show in Athens is a musical Christmas experience for the whole family! With over 130,000 Christmas lights dancing to a rotation of your favorite Christmas tunes the light show has become a holiday tradition in the community.
The show runs rain or shine every night from 6pm to 10pm.
You can choose to drive through the campus or park and walk around to view the lights up close. My kids love to get out and dance here!
THE BATTERY ATLANTA

Visit The Battery Atlanta to see the gigantic Christmas tree in Sun Park Plaza and lights throughout this entertainment district.
Parents can take pics of their kids with the Big Man in Red, while children can share their holiday wish lists.
OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS IN DAHLONEGA
Dahlonega
When: November 29 – December 31, 2024
Bedecked in thousands of twinkling lights, a show-stopping two-story Christmas tree on the square, the town of Dahlonega looks and feels like a holiday wonderland.
Take a carriage ride through the Dahlonega Historic District, visit Santa Claus on the square in front of the Christmas tree, and stroll around the historic district with its twinkling lights, holiday music and good cheer. Most shops extended their hours during the Christmas Season and offer specials and unique gift options!
This town really knows how to do Christmas right.
REINDEER FLIGHT SCHOOL
101 Sportsmans Club Road Northeast | Milledgeville
When: December 11 – 25, 2024
Walk through a winter wonderland in Baldwin County’s largest lights display! Reindeer Flight School cannot be completely seen from the road, so plan to park and walk around through over 40,000 lights on trees, additional lights on snowflakes, wreaths, flying reindeer and more on display.
Photo opportunities are abundant and be sure to climb atop a life-size wooden reindeer. Santa sightings are possible nightly, but he typically appears on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 – 9 p.m.
Bring the kids and family for a fun night out…Santa wants to see You! Admission is free to all but donations are greatly appreciated!
The Reindeer Flight School is off 441, near Serenity Spa. Turn on Old Sportsman Club Road then the third street on the left. You cannot miss it! Lights and Santa do not appear in the rain.
CHRISTMAS LIGHT NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR ATLANTA

ECONOMY HOUSE: A WHOLE LOT OF CHRISTMAS (STONE MOUNTAIN)
Economy House: A Whole Lot of Christmas (Stone Mountain) 1833 Smokerise Summit, Stone Mountain, GA. 30087. The Economy family welcomes you to see their home this holiday season! Decorated with thousands and thousands of Christmas lights, their house is lit up from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. everyday.
In 2015, the family began collecting donations for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and have raised thousands of dollars for them. In addition to Make-a-Wish, the Tucker High School’s Habitat for Humanity carols one night for donations. In past years, Santa Claus has been present on Saturday and Sunday evenings in his sleigh.
ASHEBROOKE NIGHT OF LIGHTS (CUMMING)
Ashebrooke Night of Lights (Cumming) The Ashebrooke Subdivision in Cumming hosts a Night of Lights. Residents of Ashebrooke subdivision light up their streets and their homes with luminary bags & candles to put on a great display of lights in an effort to help raise money for a worthy cause.
The NOL effort not only provides financial assistance, but builds the community during the holiday season and beyond. Ashebrooke raises money within the neighborhood by selling simple sand luminaries and placing them along the streets and driveways. Over the years, the event has grown to add a hot chocolate station, a live Nativity, a North Pole with Santa Claus himself, and spectacular holiday light displays!
TAUZIN LIGHTS (SANDY SPRINGS)
Tauzin Lights (Sandy Springs) 210 Grogans Lake Pointe, Sandy Springs, GA. Tauzin Lights at a home in the Grogan’s Bluff neighborhood in Sandy Springs features an elaborate light show that’s synchronized to music. The musical light show plays at the top of each hour (the first 20 minutes), and an animated light show follows.
If you arrive after the show, you can follow the remote falcon link and select the next songs to play! The show plays Sunday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. After Christmas, they’ll have a New Year Show too!
RILEY’S ROCKIN’ CHRISTMAS (KENNESAW)
Riley’s Rockin’ Christmas (Kennesaw) 2008 Palladium Drive NW, Kennesaw. Riley’s Rockin’ Christmas is a residential light display that has over 60,00 LED lights synchronized to more than 55 minutes of holiday music including Frozen, Polar Express, and many other holiday favorites.
Listen to the music from the warmth of your car by tuning in to 101.3 on your radio. They are accepting donations this year for the Children’s Burn Foundation. Donations can be made in the red Santa’s mailbox located to the right side of the driveway. Not every night is an animated show night, so check their website before heading out.
CHRISTMAS ON AMBERWOOD (LAWRENCEVILLE)
Christmas on Amberwood (Lawrenceville) 371 Amberwood Drive, Lawrenceville, GA. Tons of lights, 100 inflatables, 23 trees, and much more can be seen at this Lawrenceville home. Make sure to check their Facebook page for updates!
FELIX FAMILY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS (DALLAS)
Felix Family Christmas Lights (Dallas) 224 Oliver Overlook, Dallas, GA. The Felix Family Christmas Lights run from Thanksgiving to New Year and are an award-winning national display. The house has been featured on various websites and recognized as one of the 25 best-decorated homes in America. Their home is covered with thousands of lights that move to Christmas music.
LIGHTS ON LINSTONE (GRAYSON)
Lights on Linstone (Grayson) 2250 Linstone Lane, Grayson, GA. They are fairly new, but offer a very festive light display for Halloween and Christmas! New this year is the Pixel Matrix that goes along with the Pixel Mega Tree.
DULUTH’S CHRISTMAS HOUSE
Duluth’s Christmas House (Duluth) 2929 Mockingbird Circle, Duluth, GA. This house gets completely decked out for the season, and they’re always adding even more items to their Christmas lights display!
