Looking for a Christmas tree in Atlanta? Some of my most vivid memories as a child were the adventures with my parents to the Cut Your Own Christmas tree farms.

If you’re looking for a fresh cut Christmas tree, the Atlanta area has lots of choices. Whether you want to visit a local Christmas tree farm just to buy a fresh tree, or you’re looking to cut your own Christmas tree yourself — there are plenty of great options in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

Here are 17 great places to get your Christmas tree in Atlanta.

YULE FOREST CHRISTMAS TREE FARM

During the Christmas season, Yule Forest has a variety of trees, offering pre-cut Fraser Fir Christmas trees, along with plenty of different varieties of cut-your-own Christmas trees, and flocked Christmas trees. The trees come in all sizes, shapes and fullness, so you’re sure to find the perfect tree here!

While you shop for a tree, help yourself to complimentary hot apple cider. You can also visit with Santa on the weekends from 10-4. On weekends, they also offer a $5 Fun Zone for kiddos.

THE KINSEY FAMILY FARM

Find your perfect Christmas tree at Kinsey Family Farm in Cumming. At the farm, you and your loved ones can roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, and listen to holiday music in the barn. Once you have warmed your insides sufficiently, you can take a wagon ride out to the fields to begin your quest for the perfect Christmas tree. They also provide wreaths, garlands, tree stands, lasting memories and much more!

They offer many different kinds of trees — they grow Carolina Sapphire Cypress and Murray Cypress in their fields, and offer many more kinds of pre-cut trees in their barn.

Note that they cannot take you into the fields to cut trees after dark. Plan on arriving at the farm with ample daylight remaining if you intend to cut a tree from one of their fields. Currently the last tractor run is at 5:30 p.m.

BOTTOMS CHRISTMAS TREE FARM

At Bottoms Christmas Tree Farm, you can not only cut your own tree or choose a pre-cut Fraser Fir, you can also enjoy a complimentary marshmallow roast and apple cider!  After all that, you can walk on their trail around the lake to visit with their farm animals.

They have over 5,000 Choose & Cut Christmas Trees to choose from in their fields.  They also have a huge selection of Fresh Cut Fraser Firs from North Carolina in their barn.

Bottoms Christmas Tree Farm is excited to announce that Santa will be back on the farm for FREE family pictures on November 23 and 30th, as well as December 7, 2024 from 10am to 1pm.

MINTER’S FARM

Minter’s Farm is Fayette County’s largest Christmas tree farm, with more than 2,000 trees ready for purchase this holiday season.

They furnish saws so you can cut your own trees or they’ll help you. They have materials to tie your tree to your vehicle. They also offer pre-cut trees. Free hayrides on the weekends!

They’ll be open 7 days a week, starting Thanksgiving Day.

SMITH’S CHOOSE & CUT CHRISTMAS TREES

Smith’s Choose and Cut Farm is a family-owned, family-operated Christmas tree farm located midway between Fayetteville and Peachtree City.

Thompson’s Tree Farm in Lawrenceville is ready to welcome everyone back to their tree farm in 2024! They’ll have a limited amount of pre-cut Fraser Firs. THE COKER TREE FARM

Coker Tree Farm is a family-run, choose-and-cut tree farm that’s been serving metro Atlanta for more than 40 years.

This year, they’re offering a large selection of Murray Cypress and Leyland Cypress for you to choose from. They provide saws for cutting, and also have their own elves to shake and bail your tree free of charge.

They also offer pre-cut Fraser and Balsam firs. Cash or check only.

SLEEPY HOLLOW CHRISTMAS TREE FARM

They have a Country Store and Playground that are open on weekends. Playground admission is included with tree purchase, or you can purchase a wristband for $8 (cash only) without a tree purchase. You can also feed the farm animals for $2 (cash only) per cup.

Bring your family and friends to Sugarland Tree Farm and get into the spirit of Christmas!

Pick and cut your tree at their farm, or choose one of their pre-cut Fraser Firs. Christmas tree varieties include Virginia Pine, Cedar, Leyland Cypress, and Blue Ice.

They will provide you with a saw and will assist you in cutting your Christmas tree. They will then shake it and bale it and load it into your car.

After choosing your perfect tree, head on into their Sugarhaus for tree supplies, decorations, homemade wreaths, and complimentary hot chocolate. Don’t forget to visit Santa Nov. 24-26, 2023, from 10am-4pm.

RIDGEWAY CHRISTMAS TREE FARM

Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm in Jackson is a cut-your-own tree farm offering Leyland Cypress and Virginia Pines, along with pre-cut Fraser Firs.

They also have apple cider, hot chocolate, drinks, boiled peanuts, popcorn, chips and candy. Come by the gift shop for any tree items you might need as well as presents. They offer tram rides to and from the fields! They’re open from 10-5 on Saturdays and 1-5 Sunday thru Friday.
