As soon as Halloween is over, it’s time to find the best places to take pictures with Santa in Atlanta! Here’s a round up of where to see the jolly man in red (or green). If you’re looking for an African American Santa, we have those listed too. Unless otherwise noted, there are no fees to visit with Santa, but professional pictures are additional. Note for the attractions, there is a fee to enter, but visiting with Santa is free with admission.

Treetop Quest

Great Wolf Lodge

Old Saint Nick will arrive in grand fashion the Saturday after Thanksgiving and will meet with all the good little girls and boys on select days throughout the Snowland event at Great Wolf Lodge. Snowland is a festive celebration, taking place from November 24, 2019 to January 5, 2020 and featuring dashing décor and fun activities for both kids and adults alike – from daily snow showers and a Frosty Fest Family Dance Party to a special visit with Santa and a customizable Hot Cocoa Bar.

Atlantic Station

Santa will be visiting Atlantic Station in Central Park. Visit the jolly old man himself in his cozy cottage, nestled near the 50-foot tall Christmas tree.  Children can share their holiday wish list and get a professional photo taken with Old St. Nick. Santa will arrive at 12 noon on November 23, 2019, prior to the Lighting of Atlantic Station. Be sure to stay for the holiday lights and Snow Shows!

And don’t forget the special Santa days. Sensory-friendly events are scheduled. Fur babies aren’t left out either; Atlantic Station has several pet pics with Santa dates. 

Make an evening of your Santa visit, have dinner at one of the great Atlantic Station restaurants, or go ice skating.

Phipps Plaza

Families and friends are invited to take a photo and list off the top selections on their wish lists with jolly Saint Nicholas! Reservations for Santa photos are only available at santaatphipps.com. Note: No walk-up or stand in line visits will be allowed. This is a reservations-only Santa, as he is one of the most popular St. Nicks in Atlanta.

Ponce City Market

The Grinch and Jolly Old St. Nick will grace Ponce City Market with their presence throughout the most cheerful time of year! Both will take up residence on the second floor above the Central Food Hall, and guests will be invited to bring a camera to snap photos with each beginning Friday, November 29 from 11am – 6pm. Following, the Grinch will be available for visits and photos from 11am – 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays through December 22. Guests can bring their gift lists to Santa and take photos with the jolly one on Sundays through December 22, plus Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 24, from 11am – 6pm.

PCM will exclusively use digital lines for visits with the Grinch and Santa this year, so visitors won’t have to wait in a physical line. It’s quick and easy to sign up once onsite – staff will be at each check-in to help, and guests will get a confirmation text with the number of people “in line” before them. PCM will then send a text 15 minutes before time slots to confirm when Santa and the Grinch are ready. Meanwhile, guests can wander PCM to grab a bite to eat, do some holiday shopping or write letters to Santa and the Grinch at the North and South Pole Post Box Stations presented by Archer Paper Goods. Please note, guests will not be able to sign up in the digital line until they are on the premises.

Christmas at Silver City Farm

Go back in time with your family this Christmas, in Cumming at Silver City Farm. A gourmet breakfast is included in your ticket price. There’s also live music and cookie decorating. You’ll spend time with Santa for the ultimate photo (and a little time to remind him of your holiday list.) You’ll go home with a printed photo and memories to last a lifetime. 

The Avenue Forsyth

The Collection’s Annual Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting will be held on Sunday, November 24th at The Collection Forsyth. There will be photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, activities for kids of all ages, complimentary carriage rides, and a lively countdown to light-up the beautiful Christmas tree! The Holiday Celebration will begin at 4pm and the tree lighting will happen at twilight. Complimentary photos with Santa every Sunday 1pm-5pm.

Stone Mountain Christmas

The holidays come to life during Stone Mountain Christmas, with more than 2 million LED lights adorning the park, including a 275-foot light tree at the mountain’s summit. Families can gather after dark for a nightly tree lighting ceremony. After, they can help the Snow Angel make it snow in the park and view nightly fireworks.

Stone Mountain Christmas is known for its wonderful live holiday shows, a 4D theatre featuring Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer® 4D and train rides around the mountain. Rudolph, Bumble and Clarice area available for photo opportunities along with a cast of other characters. Of course, Santa is available evenings through December 24 to listen to children’s wishes. Candlelight Tours at Atlanta History Center

Ho-ho-ho! Experience Christmas past with a candlelit stroll through beautifully decorated gardens.  Guests are welcomed by a lively Christmas Market filled with local crafts and artisanal creations. Visit the three historic houses to experience how Southerners celebrated Christmas during the pioneer days, the Civil War era, and the 1930s. Members can visit the Candlelight Tours Lounge for exclusive benefits including photos with Santa, cookie and ornament decorating and more. 

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop and Cabela’s

Santa’s Wonderland is the ultimate free family Christmas event in Atlanta. The magic returns to Bass Pro Shops in Lawrenceville  and at Cabela’s in Acworth. Families are invited to enjoy these enchanting Christmas villages offering FREE 4×6 studio-quality photos with Santa and free family holiday activities, including fun crafts and games.

Features include rustic Christmas cabins, holiday characters and live elves set amongst a dazzling backdrop of snow-covered hills and illuminated Christmas trees. The Santa’s Wonderland Christmas village offers remote control trucks, laser/ foam toy arcade, Lincoln Logs building area and much more. Kids can also enjoy free crafts, coloring stations and write a letter to Santa.

Guests can reserve their free visit and photo with Santa using the free Bass Pass system. Visit the Bass Pass Ticket Depot located at the entrance of Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s to pick up a time-stamped pass. 

Santa’s Wonderland opens at both Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s November 16 – December 24.

Santa at Avalon

Ho! Ho! Ho! Join jolly Old Saint Nick in his cozy cottage at Avalon for a dose of Christmas magic this holiday season! Santa will be making his way from the North Pole beginning Nov 25.  He will be around for the holiday season to spread Christmas cheer, take photos with children and families, share magical moments with those who visit him and more.  

While there are no more reservations available, guests are welcome to walk-up daily. Avalon also invites the community to enjoy a variety of special experiences with Santa this season, such as Pet Nights, Breakfast and Story Time with Santa. Georgia Tech Alumni Presents Santa Buzz

On November 19, 2017, Georgia Tech fans can take advantage of the opportunity to get the family portrait taken with Buzz! There is a cost of $25/family. Your professional, high quality digital photo will be emailed to you for unrestricted use after the event. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis but families who pre-pay will be given priority in line upon arrival.

Caring Santa: December 1 from 8-10 a.m.
Caring Santa is a private event designed for children and young adults with special needs and their families to have an opportunity to have their photos taken with Santa. Lenox Square has made necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities for this special event. The event will be held during private mall hours in the Macy’s Court in order to provide a calmer, sensory-friendly environment. Due to this, families are asked to enter the mall using the Main Mall Entrance in between Sprinkles and Nike.

Northlake Mall

Northpoint Mall: Santa’s Toy Factory

Santa has made his way from the North Pole and is ready to greet children of all ages from November 15 to December 24, 2019.

This is not just another sit-on-Santa’s-lap type of event. Kids get to embark on an exciting adventure at Santa’s Toy Factory. Put on your safety hat, test new toys and even digitally design your own! There’s over 1600 square feet of fun here! 

American Girl Welcomes Santa: December 1, 8, 15 & 21

Share a holiday experience that includes a jolly “ho-ho-ho!” Santa is coming to the store, and he can’t wait to meet you and your girl. Whispering her wishes is an exciting holiday tradition, and a special pose with St. Nick is the perfect photo opportunity. You can bring your camera to capture the moment! Enjoy a delicious meal during your visit, too.

Perimeter Mall

Santa arrives at Perimeter Mall  on November 15. He will be available for photos through December 24th.  Photos and reservations are not required for visiting Santa. However, reserving a fast pass can help you speed through the line.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Botanical St. Nick

Meet Saint Nick clad in his dark green robe and botanical head wreath on Saturdays starting on November 24th.  Bring a camera to take your own photos. Time with Santa is included with daily admission. Save some time for a spin around the Great Lawn on the Botanical Express Ride-on-Train!

Georgia Aquarium: Winter Waterland

Guests can catch sight of SCUBA Claus diving into Ocean Voyager  and swimming among the whale sharks, manta rays and thousands of fish during the dive shows every Thursday through Sunday until December 25. If you’d rather see Santa on the other side of the water, he has scheduled times in the Georgia Aquarium atrium from November 23 through December 24th. There’s more than just Santa at Georgia Aquarium!

Breakfast with Santa: December 7 and 14th, 2019,  9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This is one of the cutest and most unique Santa experiences in Atlanta. Kids get to help wake up Santa Claus from his winter-inspired nap. There are lots of interactive activities, a delicious breakfast and of course a Santa meet and greet with every guest. Advanced registration required. Magical Nights of Lights and Snow Island

License to Chill Snow Island joins Magical Nights of Lights, an Atlanta holiday tradition for over 25 years, cranking up the wintry fun at Margaritaville from November 22, 2019 – February 20, 2020. With one of the fastest snow rides in North America, ice skating, snow play area, fire pits, and s’mores, carnival rides, visits with Santa and more. 

Santa at Rhodes Hall

Skip the malls, avoid the long lines, and have a memorable Santa experience for the entire family at Rhodes Hall weekends December 1-15. Families can relax and delight in a winter wonderland at the gorgeous “Castle on Peachtree,” enjoying holiday music, delicious refreshments and exciting art activities, while the little ones whisper their wish lists to Santa during personal appointments. The $45 per family admission fee includes custom 5×7 portrait with Santa. Don’t miss pet nights too!

Downtown Alpharetta

The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting a “Free Pictures With Santa” event on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Alpharetta Welcome Center.

Families are encouraged to stop by for a complimentary individual or family photo with Santa Claus.  A photo will be printed onsite and emailed instantly to each person, so it can be shared with family and friends. Attendees are advised to not wear green clothing as the photographer will be using a “green screen” and green clothing will interfere with the photo quality.

The Battery

Santa will return this season at the SunTrust onUp Experience, with visits Thursdays through Sundays through Christmas Eve. All Santa visits are free and include a digital and printed photo. Santa has some special visits planned, including Sensitive Santa Sundays, a low sensory Santa experience for families with special needs, Santa Paws Nights with treats provided by Hollywood Feed for four-legged family members on December 8 and 15, and Noche con Santa for Spanish speaking families on December 12 and 19.     The Annual Tree Lighting Spectacular at The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta will be held THIS Saturday, November 11 from 6 -9pm in Center Court. Join for live entertainment, lots of free goodies, and special visits from Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch, Mrs. Claus, and Santa!
