As soon as Halloween is over, it’s time to find the best places to take pictures with Santa! Here’s a round up of where to see the jolly man in red (or green). If you’re looking for an African American Santa, we have those listed too. Unless otherwise noted, there are no fees to visit with Santa, but professional pictures are additional.

 Note for the attractions, there is a fee to enter, but visiting with Santa is free with admission.

Pictures with Santa in Atlanta Area for Christmas

Atlantic Station

Santa will be visiting Atlantic Station in Central Park. Visit the jolly old man himself in his cozy cottage, nestled near the 50-foot tall Christmas tree.  Children can share their holiday wish list and get a professional photo taken with Old St. Nick. Santa will arrive at 12 noon on November 17, 2018, prior to the Lighting of Atlantic Station. Anyone who makes a photo purchase receives a free pair of Santa’s Magic Glasses to enjoy the holiday lights and Snow Shows in a whole new way!

And don’t forget the special Santa days. Kids can participate in Storytime, or have breakfast with the big man in red. Fur babies aren’t left out either; Atlantic Station has several pet pics with Santa dates. Check the Atlantic Station events calendar for the latest.

Make an evening of your Santa visit, have dinner at one of the great Atlantic Station restaurants, go ice skating, and then shop at the Christkindl Market.

Phipps Plaza

Families and friends are invited to take a photo and list off the top selections on their wish lists with jolly Saint Nicholas! Reservations for Santa photos are only available at santaatphipps.com. Note: No walk-up or stand in line visits will be allowed. This is a reservations-only Santa, as he is one of the most popular St. Nicks in Atlanta.

The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta

Tree Lighting Spectacular is on Saturday, November 11. Festivities run from 6 – 9 p.m. in Center Court, featuring live entertainment, lots of free goodies, crafts and special visits from Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch, Mrs. Claus, and the man of the moment with a few of his holiday helpers.

Westside Provision Shopping District

Join Seed Factory at Westside Provisions to meet Santa on Saturday, December 2nd. Santa and two of his reindeer will make way to the Westside Provisions property. After taking a trip around the festive grounds, Santa will settle into Seed Factory from 10AM-4PM. The children’s boutique will be ornamented in holiday cheer to welcome Mr. Claus and his visitors for wish list sharing, free digital photos.

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market invites visitors to take photos with Santa as well as the Grinch! Atlanta’s historic community destination in Old Fourth Ward announces its 2017 holiday spectacular. Help the Grinch’s heart grow through the power of community. Expect three weeks of mischief all over the city of Atlanta, culminating in a “naughty vs. nice” Beltline face-off between Santa and the Grinch on Friday after Thanksgiving before the duo settles into their respective thrones on the second floor of Ponce City Market to greet their fans. The boldest holiday celebration in the Southeast is always free and open to the public.

NAUGHTY VS. NICE PARADE – Are you naughty or nice? It’s time to choose a team! Will it be Team Santa or Team Grinch? . If you’re feeling naughty, the public is invited to meet him at The Shed at Ponce City Market at 10:30am on Friday, Nov. 24th, with raucous brass/hip-hop band JohnBoy & SurroundSound and his merry band of misfits in tow. Follow the Green Grand Marshall as he leads community participants with LED balloons. Feeling kinder? March with Santa instead on team nice! The parade will culminate with a grand finale arrival at Ponce City Market for the official holiday kickoff at noon.

SANTA CLAUS PHOTOS. Visitors can take photos with Santa while enjoying a rotating roster of choirs, musicians, and other festive weekend entertainers. Hot cocoa, peppermint bark, holiday popsicle flavors, cider, and more will be available from Williams Sonoma, King of Pops, and the Mercury to enjoy around cozy fire pits, and Santa’s hours will be 10:30AM-6PM on Nov 24-26, Dec 17, and Dec 21-24, and 3PM-9PM on Dec 2-3, Dec 9-10, and Dec 16.

Christmas at Silver City Farm

Go back in time with your family this Christmas, in Cumming at Silver City Farm. A gourmet breakfast is included in your ticket price. There’s also live music and cookie decorating. You’ll spend time with Santa for the ultimate photo (and a little time to remind him of your holiday list.) You’ll go home with a printed photo and memories to last a lifetime. Dec 1 and 2, 2018,  9:30am or 1pm. Admission: $22 for adults, $12 for kids 1 year and older. (Children under 12 months old are free of charge.)

Vinings Jubilee

The Vinings Jubilee Christmas Tree Lighting is a great way to start the holiday season! There will be music and dance performances and delicious treats will be provided by surrounding restaurants. There will also be seasonal face painting, holiday-themed balloon twisting, and ornament decorating. Last but not least, Santa will also make an appearance and be available for photos and gift requests while two Vinings Express Trains will make stops all around Vinings Jubilee. Free.

The Avenue Forsyth

The Collection’s Annual Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting will be held on Sunday, November 26th at The Collection Forsyth featuring musical guests Cole Thannisch and Allie Odom. There will be photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, activities for kids of all ages, complimentary carriage rides, and a lively countdown to light-up the beautiful Christmas tree! The Holiday Celebration will begin at 4pm and the tree lighting will happen at twilight.

Stone Mountain Christmas

The holidays come to life during Stone Mountain Christmas, with more than 2 million LED lights adorning the park, including a 275-foot light tree at the mountain’s summit. Families can gather after dark for a nightly tree lighting ceremony. After, they can help the Snow Angel make it snow in the park and view nightly fireworks.

Stone Mountain Christmas is known for its wonderful live holiday shows, a 4D theatre featuring Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer® 4D and train rides around the mountain. Rudolph, Bumble and Clarice area available for photo opportunities along with a cast of other characters. Of course, Santa is available evenings through December 24 to listen to children’s wishes.

Candlelight Tours at Atlanta History Center

Ho-ho-ho! Experience Christmas past with a candlelit stroll through beautifully decorated gardens.  Guests are welcomed by a lively Christmas Market filled with local crafts and artisanal creations. Visit the three historic houses to experience how Southerners celebrated Christmas during the pioneer days, the Civil War era, and the 1930s. Members can visit the Candlelight Tours Lounge for exclusive benefits including photos with Santa, cookie and ornament decorating and more. Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop and Cabela’s

Santa’s Wonderland is the ultimate free family Christmas event in Atlanta. The magic returns to Bass Pro Shops in Lawrenceville for the 10thseason and arrives at Cabela’s in Acworth for the first time-ever this year. Families are invited to enjoy these enchanting Christmas villages offering FREE 4×6 studio-quality photos with Santa and free family holiday activities, including fun crafts and games.

Features include rustic Christmas cabins, holiday characters and live elves set amongst a dazzling backdrop of snow-covered hills and illuminated Christmas trees. The Santa’s Wonderland Christmas village offers remote control trucks, laser/ foam toy arcade, Lincoln Logs building area and much more. Kids can also enjoy free crafts, coloring stations and write a letter to Santa.

Guests can reserve their free visit and photo with Santa using the free Bass Pass system. Visit the Bass Pass Ticket Depot located at the entrance of Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s to pick up a time-stamped pass. In addition, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores are designated toy drop-off stations for Toys for Tots. Families that bring a new toy to donate Saturday and Sunday, November 24-25, will receive a FREE premium photo package valued at $20.

Santa’s Wonderland opens at both Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s on Saturday, November 10 and runs through Monday, December 24.

Atlanta Falcons Game – Toys for Tots Event

Come out to Mercedes Benz Stadium Sunday, December 18th for the annual Toys for Tots Event. The hometown Atlanta Falcons are taking on the Tamp a Bay Buccaneers for a Sunday Night Football match up. Game starts at 8:45 pm. You may even see Santa Rick who will be on hand when the gates open collecting toys for Toys for Tots and taking free pictures with fans.

Santa at Avalon

Ho! Ho! Ho! Join jolly Old Saint Nick in his cozy cottage at Avalon for a dose of Christmas magic this holiday season! Santa will be making his way from the North Pole starting November 19 – Dec 24.  He will be around for the holiday season to spread Christmas cheer, take photos with children and families, share magical moments with those who visit him and more.  

There are several special events at The Avalon this holiday season including:

  • Pet Photos with Santa:Bring your furry friends for the paw-fect holiday photo opportunity with Santa at Avalon! Head to Santa’s Cottage during the holiday season every Tuesday from 4PM to 7PM. No appointment necessary. 
  • Breakfast with Santa at Chick-fil-a: Join Santa Claus and his jolly elves for a delicious breakfast at Chick-fil-A Avalon on Saturday, December 15th from 8-10am!   • Breakfast with Santa at Oak Steakhouse: All of the good boys & girls are invited to join jolly old Saint Nick and his cheerful elves for a delicious family style breakfast buffet at Oak Steakhouse on Sunday, December 16th from 9-11am! Cumberland Mall

Don’t miss the easiest way to visit Santa—just reserve your time and skip the line at Cumberland Mall! You can save $5 on photos when you book between Monday and Wednesday (through December 9th). Don’t forget about your pet for holiday photos! Shoppers are invited to bring their furry members of the family for a photo with Santa. Guests should use Entry 4 and refrain from bringing reptiles or exotic animals. Advance registration is recommended.

Georgia Tech Alumni Presents Santa Buzz

On November 19, 2017, Georgia Tech fans can take advantage of the opportunity to get the family portrait taken with Buzz! There is a cost of $25/family. Your professional, high quality digital photo will be emailed to you for unrestricted use after the event. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis but families who pre-pay will be given priority in line upon arrival.

Photos with Buzz will begin at 4:00pm.  Your payment helps support scholarships to Georgia Tech! Go Jackets!

Lenox Square

Photos with Santa: November 2 – December 24

Pets have Christmas wishes too! On November 12, families are welcome to bring their furry best friends for an unforgettable picture with Santa Claus in the Macy’s Court. Guests can enter the mall through the Main Mall entrance near Sprinkles and Nike. Please refrain from bringing reptiles or exotic animals. Advance registration is recommended.

Scottsdale Farms

The annual Christmas Open House is on November 9, 2017 to celebrate the beginning of the most wonderful season of all.  They will showcase beautiful holiday decorations for your home and gifts that anyone would love to give or receive.

Christmas Trees from the Enchanted Forest are available November 18 through December 17.

Mall of Georgia

Spend the day in the Village, enjoy live performances, and stay for the Movies Under the Stars presentation of The Polar Express. There will be holiday activities for the family, including a visit from Santa and Papa Elf.

Marietta’s Winter Wonderland &  Santa on the Square

After kicking off the holiday season with the Marietta Square Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, November 30, 2017, Santa’s Workshop opens in Glover Park in Marietta Square. Bring the kids to visit the Winter Wonderland on on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December starting December 1, 2017. There will also be an opportunity for pet photos with Santa on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4p.m. to 9p.m.

Photos with Santa are available, and afterward visitors are encouraged to visit ice skating rink and the shops and restaurants surrounding the Square for fun holiday gifts and great food and drinks.

Northlake Mall

Santa Cares: December 3, 2017 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Santa Cares is a sensory-friendly opportunity for children with all spectrums of special needs to enjoy the time-honored tradition of the Santa Photo Experience with their family in a calming environment prior to public hours.

Photo packages are available for purchase during the event. Visits with Santa are free. Space is limited and families must register in advance.

Northpoint Mall: Santa’s Toy Factory

Santa has made his way from the North Pole and is ready to greet children of all ages starting on November 09, 2017.

This is not just another sit-on-Santa’s-lap type of event. Kids get to embark on an exciting adventure at Santa’s Toy Factory. Put on your safety hat, test new toys and even digitally design your own! Reserve a spot between Monday and Wednesday and save $5

American Girl Welcomes Santa: November 9, December 16, 22 & 23

Share a holiday experience that includes a jolly “ho-ho-ho!” Santa is coming to the store, and he can’t wait to meet you and your girl. Whispering her wishes is an exciting holiday tradition, and a special pose with St. Nick is the perfect photo opportunity. You can bring your camera to capture the moment! Perimeter Mall

Santa arrives at Perimeter Mall  on November 10. He will be available for photos through December 24th. You can save $5 on photos when you book between Monday and Wednesday. Photos and reservations are not required for visiting Santa.

Town Center at Cobb

Caring Santa: November 18 and December 2
Caring Santa is a private event designed for children and young adults with special needs and their families to have an opportunity to visit Santa and have their photos taken. Town Center at Cobb will make necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities for this special event. Both events will be held on the Santa Set.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Botanical St. Nick

Meet Saint Nick clad in his dark green robe and botanical head wreath on Saturdays starting on November 24th.  Bring a camera to take your own photos. Time with Santa is included with daily admission. Save some time for a spin around the Great Lawn on the Botanical Express Ride-on-Train!

Georgia Aquarium: Festival of the SEAson

For the 11th year in a row, guests can catch sight of SCUBA Claus diving into Ocean Voyager Built by The Home Depot and swimming among the whale sharks, manta rays and thousands of fish during the dive shows every Thursday through Sunday until December 25. If you’d rather see Santa on the other side of the water, he has scheduled times in the Georgia Aquarium atrium from November 17th through December 24th. There’s more than just Santa at Georgia Aquarium!

Wake Up Santa: November 17 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This is one of the cutest and most unique Santa experiences in Atlanta. Kids get to help wake up Santa Claus to ring in the holidays. There are lots of interactive activities, holiday snacks and of course a Santa meet and greet with every guest. Advanced registration required. Breakfast with Santa: December 15th, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Start a holiday tradition by enjoying Breakfast with Santa and whale sharks, manta rays and Tank the sea turtle! Enjoy a delicious breakfast provided by our fantastic chefs at Wolfgang Puck Catering, write a letter to Santa and hand-deliver it, enjoy a holiday craft and spend some quality time with jolly ol’ St. Nick. Magical Nights of Lights and Snow Island

License to Chill Snow Island joins Magical Nights of Lights, an Atlanta holiday tradition for over 25 years, cranking up the wintry fun at Margaritaville from November 16, 2018 – February 24, 2019. With one of the fastest snow rides in North America, ice skating, snow play area, fire pits, and s’mores, carnival rides and more. Snow Island is new snow attraction that is fun for all ages.

20th Annual Santa at Rhodes Hall

Skip the malls, avoid the long lines, and have a memorable Santa experience for the entire family at Rhodes Hall weekends December 1-16. Families can relax and delight in a winter wonderland at the gorgeous “Castle on Peachtree,” enjoying holiday music, delicious refreshments and exciting art activities, while the little ones whisper their wish lists to Santa during personal appointments. The $45 per family admission fee includes custom 5×7 portrait with Santa. Don’t miss pet nights too!

Waggy World Dog Park

Come paws; come all! You and your pet(s) can be photographed with Santa Claus! This holiday pet portraiture is a special bonding experience between owners and their pets. It can make the perfect greeting card, original gift or heartfelt keepsake. Certain restrictions apply for pets. Free! December 10 / 12pm-2:30pm (weather permitting)

Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta

On December 3 from 1pm to 5pm, families can have a memorable keepsake photo taken with Santa and then sip on hot cocoa and sample holiday treats. The event is priced at $75 per family including parking. For booking information, please email moatl-rsvp@mohg.com.

Downtown Alpharetta

Kick off the holiday season on Dec 1 from 4-8pm in downtown Alpharetta with Light The Night for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Joy and laughter will fill the streets with the tree lighting, musical performances, snow, photos with Santa, food trucks, marshmallow roasting, farmers market, live viewing of the SEC Championship Football Game on the big screen, Holiday Food Drive and more. Free admission.

Enjoy a second weekend of holiday fun in Alpharetta’s downtown on Dec 8 from 4-8pm at Village Green on Main Street. The Magical Winter Village will include visits with Santa, strolling holiday characters, musical performances, snow, children’s crafts and festive foods. Return your bag for the Holiday Food Drive in exchange for discounts to local businesses. Free admission.

Finally, enjoy free Photos With Santa on Dec 1 from 10 am – 12 pm. Have your holiday photo taken with Santa at the Alpharetta Welcome Center.

The Battery

Santa will arrive at the SunTrust onUp Experience on Friday, November 23 and after Thanksgiving, he will be there Thursdays through Sundays and Christmas Eve. There will be some special sessions planned, including low sensory Santa experiences for families with special needs on December 2, 9, and 16 from 10 a.m. – noon and Santa Paws Night for four-legged family members on December 16. All Santa visits are free and include digital and printed photos.
