As soon as Halloween is over, it’s time to find the best places to take pictures with Santa in Atlanta! Here’s a round up of where to see the jolly man in red (or green).

Treetop Quest. Santa will be a Treetop Quest Dunwoody and at Treetop Quest Gwinnett for one day only! Visits included with regular admission. Note: No info has yet been released for 2021.

Southeastern Railway Museum. Included with regular admission, take photos with your own camera with Santa, write letters and take a train ride. Note: No information has yet been released for 2021.

Great Wolf Lodge. As the temperature drops, escape to the warmth of Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge. If you love snow and classic holiday family fun, you’ll find plenty of it at their warm and cozy lodge. Find all the wonders of a Great Wolf getaway with the comfort of our heated indoor activities and 84-degree water park. Your kids can embrace the Snowland warmth by visiting with Santa himself during your stay over the holiday season! Dates: Begins November 28, 2021

Zoo Atlanta. Bring the little ones for a personal visit with Santa and a professional photo at Zoo Atlanta. This year, in addition to a photo with Santa, you’ll take a To-Go Kit to enjoy warm cocoa, cookies, and crafts at home! Come dressed in your festive face mask (required) for a socially distanced photo with Santa your family will always remember. Limited timed reservations are available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on December 4 and 5, 2021.

Atlantic Station. Stay tuned for 2021 info.

Phipps Plaza. Santa at Phipps is a beloved Atlanta tradition for many families! This year they will use a similar “set” as they did in 2020 (as shown here), but they will be able to offer the option of either having children in Santa’s lap or on the separate bench.   Santa has been vaccinated and Phipps will continue with the same precautions while in line that we did in 2020.  Registration is required. Dates: Select dates from October 30-December 23, 2021. 

Ponce City Market. Stay tuned for 2021 info.

Marietta. They’re doing both pictures with Santa, and a Magical Moments with Santa — where you can join Santa and his elves for a 30 minute magical, unique, and private experience with Santa and your family — that includes pics! Registration required. DATES: Pictures with Santa will be on select dates beginning December 3, 2021 and Magical Moments will be December 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2021.

Scottsdale Farms. Attend the tree lighting at Scottsdale Farms in Milton and enjoy the evening, complete with hot cocoa and cookies, and Santa Claus himself. Santa will also be visiting Scottsdale just for pictures on select December weekends. Date: Tree lighting: November 23, 2021, Santa pictures: December weekends.

North Georgia Wildlife Park. Meet some adorable mini farm animals in their petting farm and take a wildlife walk and learn about some amazing exotic animals while you visit with Santa. Comes with cookies, milk, and a candy cane hunt too. Date: December 4, 2021

Goats on the Roof. Take your picture with Santa at your favorite roadside attraction — Goats on the Roof in Tiger, GA. This year, the baby goat will not be with Santa for pics. Dates: Saturdays, Nov. 27-Dec. 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Stone Mountain Christmas. Santa is making it to Stone Mountain again this year – bring your holiday list! Dates: Nov 13, 2021 – Jan 2, 2022

Downtown Kennesaw. Photos with Santa will be available from 3-7 p.m. at the Community House, located in Depot Park. Photos will be taken by a professional photographer, and a FREE digital download of the photos will be available a week after the event. You can also purchase photos on site. The photos with Santa are a part of Kennesaw’s Day with Santa event. Date: December 4, 2021.

Santa in Newnan. Santa will arrive downtown in a Fire Truck, and will immediately light the Christmas tree on the Court House Square. Afterward, children are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and read him their Christmas list! The event is FREE. Date: November 26, 2021

The Art Barn. Come on out to The Art Barn in Canton and meet Santa before he heads back to the North Pole. A magical day you won’t want to miss, with lots of opportunities for photos galore. The barnyard animals will be around too. Reservations must be made in advance. Dates: Nov. 20 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Dec. 11 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Ready to shop at a Holiday Market? Here are the Best Holiday Markets in Atlanta!

Mimosa Hall & Gardens. This annual event hosted by Friends of Mimosa Hall and Gardens in Roswell will be held on the historical grounds of Mimosa Hall. Your 10 minute photo session will include all sitting fees with Santa Duncan and the jpegs from your session. Registration required. Date: November 6, 2021.

Candlelight Tours at Atlanta History Center. Canceled for 2021.

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shop and Cabela’s. Bass Pro Shops / Cabela’s is continuing the beloved tradition of visiting Santa Claus in-person this holiday season at Santa’s Wonderland experience. Pics with Santa are FREE. Online reservation required. Dates: Nov. 7 – Dec.24, 2021

Santa at Avalon. Have photos taken in an open-air, North Pole-inspired cottage. To guarantee your special time with Santa, please book an appointment. Walk-ups will be accepted only if time allows. Dates: Nov 22 – Dec 24, 2021

Santa in Decatur. Santa is spreading holiday cheer as he rides all over town in a City of Decatur fire truck, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  Remember to wear your mask and remain socially distant, while waiting for Santa to arrive. Date: November 27, 2021

Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Meet Botanical Saint Nick! Bring your camera and come tell all of your holiday wishes to the big guy adorned in green. Social-distancing measures will be in place to ensure a contact-free experience. Free with Garden admission or membership. Dates: Saturdays, November 27-December 18, 2021.

Georgia Aquarium: Note: This year, Santa photos will take place during their Merry Member Morning, which will be for Georgia Aquarium Members only. (It’s free for members.) Santa is coming to Georgia Aquarium! Swim on by to have your photos taken with Santa by a professional photographer, and enjoy a light breakfast. We may even have some animals and their keepers stopping by to say hello! Date: Dec. 12, 2021

Henderson Farm in Gordon County. Henderson Farms in Calhoun will be celebrating their 2nd annual Christmas at the Farm this year. There will be a petting zoo, bouncy house, face paint, food, crafts, music, Christmas trees for sale, and of course — you can visit with Santa. $20 per car. Date: Dec. 4, 2021

Santa at Rhodes Hall. The “Castle on Peachtree” will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring personal appointments with Santa at Rhodes Hall. They also host a “Pet Night” on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 so your 4-legged friends can get a pic with the big guy too. Registration required. Dates: Weekends November 20-December 12, 2021.

Reindeer Flight School, Milledgeville. Christmas lights in Middle Georgia for all ages. Visit to see the lights and Santa. Have your photo taken with Santa in his sleigh for FREE. Dates: Dec. 10 – Dec. 25, 2021. Santa sightings are possible nightly, but he typically appears on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 – 9 p.m.

Downtown Alpharetta. Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Alpharetta as celebration fills the streets with include falling snow, photos with Santa, caroling, marshmallow roasting and various family photo opportunities with the Alpharetta Nutcrackers. Dates: December 3, 10, and 17, 2021

The Battery. Santa Claus is coming to town! The Man in the Red Suit will make his annual appearance at The Battery Atlanta to accept children’s letters and pose for pictures. Families can also stop by for special events, including Santa Paws nights and Sensitive Santa mornings. For more information for all types of photo sessions offered, please visit batteryatl.com.
