CORAL CAY – KIDS CLUB
The Hawks Cay Kids Club is really amazing. We usually aren’t big “kids club” people, but what we loved about the one Hawks Cay Resort is that we could go in with them and explore the playground, play on the AstroTurf soccer field, play miniature golf, basketball, ping pong, and enjoy splash pad area. It wasn’t a drop off kids club — it was full of family fun.
The splash pad was an especially big hit with our kids. It was a great setup for younger kids, and they had so much fun going up and down the slides and playing on the pirate ship splash pad!
There was so many fun things to do together as a family at the kids club area. It was great for our kids to be able to have fun at the kids club, but with us there too.
POOLS
There are multiple pools at Hawks Cay Resort. During our visit, our favorite was the main pool area that looks out over the bay. But we also really enjoyed the pool in the kids club area, since we weren’t worried about the kids splashing anyone or screaming too loud.
They also have an adults-only pool, which is great for those traveling without kids.
SALTWATER LAGOON
In addition to the amazing pools, one of the most unique things about this resort is their Saltwater Lagoon. The lagoon is fed straight from the ocean, and provides a great, calm place for kids to snorkel, experience water sports, or watch the dolphins frolicking nearby.
Find your balance on a paddle board, or keep an eye out for sea turtles swimming nearby. The Saltwater Lagoon here is really amazing, and a wonderful amenity.
The lagoon raises and lowers with the tides, and is perfect for younger kids — although, it’s pretty great no matter how old you are.
SUNSET CRUISE
When we visited Hawks Cay, we were able to take a Sunset Cruise with our family. It was a wonderful way to experience the sunset out on the water.
In addition to the Sunset Cruise, you will find many more water excursions offered at Hawks Cay.
Take a private boat excursion and choose between a 1-, 2-, 3-, or 6-hour trip around the island. Take a group reef snorkel and sandbar excursion, a group evening cruise, or celebrate a special occasion with a group charter rental.
Kayak and Paddle Board rentals are also available.
LODGING AT HAWKS CAY RESORT
There are lots of great lodging options at Hawks Cay. You’ll find guest rooms and suites, villas, and penthouse suites as well.
When we were there we stayed in a Villa, which was a beautiful two-story townhouse-type structure that looked right out over the water. It had four balconies, three bedrooms, and four TVs. We honestly could have spent a whole day just hanging out in the room and sitting out on the balcony with the nice view and ocean breeze.
They also have resort rooms that can sleep up to five comfortably. The 177 resort rooms at Hawks Cay feature Caribbean island decor. Each of the guest rooms have at least 376 square feet of elegant interior space, private lanais and views of resort grounds. You’ll also find Family Guest Rooms that give you a bit more space, as well.

There are quite a few dining options at Hawks Cay Resort — and they’re all pretty amazing.
Located at Hawks Cay Marina, Angler and Ale is a popular place to dine. Here, you can sit back and relax dockside as you savor some of the Key’s favorite dishes or bring your own catch for a Hook and Cook meal.
Located just off the main resort lobby, Sixty-One Prime is where you can indulge in prime steak and fresh seafood with a Keys flair accompanied by a great selection of wines.
Looking for some delicious and easy grab-and-go options? The Hawks Cay Marketplace is a great choice. You’ll find fresh, fast, family-friendly dining options including fresh salads, pressed paninis, pizzas and pastas. Near the Pirate Ship Pool, you’ll find the Coral Grill, another family-friendly hangout serving delicious casual fare and a variety of beverages for all ages.

If you’re hungry or thirsty, but don’t want to give up your lagoon or poolside spot — no worries! The Tiki Grill is for you. Staff circulates ready to take your order, and you can choose from fresh poolside fare like sandwiches, salads, cold drinks and tropical cocktails. They also take orders at the Tiki bar.
DOLPHIN CONNECTION
Ever wanted to swim with dolphins? Well, at Hawks Cay — that dream can come true.
Hawks Cay is home to the Dolphin Connection, a popular excursion that doesn’t require you to leave the resort. Dolphins live in the onsite, ocean-fed saltwater lagoon on the property, and you can watch them play in the water, or sign up for a dolphin experience that allows you to swim, play, and learn more about these awesome animals.
When we visited, we were able to watch them play and it was amazing! We can’t wait to go back and swim with them.
