From beloved retailers to home-grown owner-operated boutiques, Alpharetta shopping districts have it all. What makes these places unique however isn’t just the stores themselves, but the fun experiences you can participate in while you are there. Here’s what you need to know.
Alpharetta Shopping Districts
Alpharetta’s destination shopping is located in three distinct sections. Downtown Alpharetta, which includes Alpharetta City Center, Avalon Alpharetta, and North Point Mall. Each one has exclusive programming and a distinctive shopping personality.
The latest addition to Alpharetta’s shopping scene is also the oldest. Downtown Alpharetta has expanded by six city blocks to include the new Alpharetta City Center, a 26-acre project that has added several new locally owned shops to the area. There are now over 50 places to shop! With a splash fountain, community green and tons of new restaurants you’ll find this area buzzing.
A mixture of well-known brands and local finds, Avalon is also a popular shopping destination. They also have ice skating in the winter, live music on Friday nights, and loads of seasonal entertainment through the concierge services. There’s a variety of over 60 stores at Avalon so everyone’s sure to find something to suit them.
When complete, the 3-mile Alpha Loop trail system will connect Alpharetta City Center to Avalon allowing shoppers to walk or bike between the two districts.
NorthPoint Area is where you’ll find all your favorite brands. But don’t label this a traditional ‘mall’. You’ll find over 100 retailers that encompass the mall and North Point Parkway area. Northpoint is redeveloping a portion of the retail space into a green gathering spot for the community. Specifics aren’t available but features being talked about include fountains like Centennial Park, a playground, a lawn for movies and community events.
