Unique Shopping Experiences at Avalon & Alpharetta Retail Districts

Advertiser Content

Avalon, Alpharetta’s newest shopping district from North American Properties has a party type feel even before you reach any of the 500,000 square feet of retail shops.

Located in the heart of Alpharetta, Avalon is more than just shopping though. There is ice skating in the winter, live music on Friday nights, and loads of seasonal entertainment through the concierge services. Adding to the year-round festive atmosphere, Avalon’s open container law allows shoppers to purchase alcoholic beverages and carry them from store to store.

Experience the Timeless Art of Living at Avalon Alpharetta

The Cosmetic Market Make Over

3130 Avalon Boulevard | Alpharetta | 678-894-4012
If you are from Nashville, you probably know The Cosmetic Market, but this is the first store in Georgia. Of course you can get all the top cosmetic brands, but what sets these folks apart is the trained beauty experts who offer one-on-one make-up consultations free with a $40 purchase. I’ve always wanted to know how to do those smokey eyes.

Kendra Scott Color Bar

3150 Avalon Boulevard | Alpharetta | 678-392-3886
This one is probably one of my favorites. Kendra Scott has gorgeous jewelry, but you don’t want to see your necklace, ring etc on someone else right? Get EXACTLY the jewelry you want by visiting Kendra Scott’s color bar. At the color bar you choose the base and add the stones you like in your favorite color to make a truly unique piece.

Williams Sonoma Cooking School

8180 Avalon Boulevard #8180 | Alpharetta | 678-448-4105
At Williams Sonoma in Avalon, you can actually learn how to use all those kitchen gadgets they sell during one of the in-store cooking demonstrations. For instance, discover how to make that new InstaPot of yours hum. They even have classes designed specifically for junior chefs age 8 – 13.

Whole Foods Cooking School

2800 Old Milton Pkwy | Alpharetta | 678-534-3138
Did you know Whole Foods has a cooking school? Salud! Cooking School offers fun classes for kids, teens and adults. In addition to in-store instructors, they also bring in well known Georgia chefs. Sounds like a fun girls night to me, or even something different for date night.

Dry Bar VIP Experience

4155 Avalon Dr | Alpharetta | 404-382-5310
Getting a blow out can make you feel like a million bucks, and at Dry Bar they treat you like a million bucks too. Sip on complimentary beverages (including champagne or mimosa) as you wait for your stylist.

Cru Food and Wine Bar Wine Flights

2200 Avalon Boulevard | Alpharetta | 678-248-5181
The Crú Food & Wine Bar experience is like visiting a tasting room at one of the top wineries around the world, except you aren’t limited by a single brand. At Cru, you can choose between 350 different wines. We suggest a wine flight, which includes a taste of three wines that are related to one another by grape variety, geographic region or style, and can even include rare finds.

Paper Source Workshops

4160 Avalon Boulevard | Alpharetta | 678-248-5507
Paper Source is a premier paperie and gift retailer that inspires customers to “Do Something Creative Every Day.”  They help customers do that by hosting craft workshops such as brush lettering, shadowboxing and card making. Ask about the kids workshops too.

Comeback Vinyl

1 S Main St. | Alpharetta | 678-580-0583
Comeback Vinyl is like walking into a time machine. Show the kids what music is supposed to sound like, or just admire the album art. Personally, I always liked STYX Paradise Theatre album cover. The one side is the Paradise in it’s heyday. The other side is the broken down theatre. When you pull the album out, there is an etching on the actual vinyl.

MiniMe Factory Figurine

American Girl Boutique and Bistro

1202 North Point Cir | Alpharetta | 877-247-5223
Lesli and I both have boys, but we still ADORE the American Girl experience. I could just walk around and look at all the dolls and accessories, but they also have a wonderful bistro with pretty good food too. And if your doll needs a little refresh, the Doll Salon is available for a new hairdo, or even a mani-pedi. Check the website for special events.

Shop for home decor and gifts at Ashley Marie and know that your purchase is helping  children. Just another excuse to get two of those cute dishtowels – one as a gift, and one for yourself.
