Indoor Playground Atlanta: 17+ Fantastic Options You’ll Love

Instead of being cooped up inside on those days that being outside just seems unbearable, check out our best indoor playground Atlanta kids’ love, which promise to keep even the most indoor-resistant child happy!

We lived in Atlanta when my kids were toddlers, and we have visited our fair share of indoor playgrounds in the Atlanta area. We can assure you — Georgia’s capital city is home to some great indoor playgrounds.

Here are 17+ best indoor playgrounds in Atlanta your kids will adore.

Indoor Playground Atlanta: 17+ Fantastic Options You’ll Love

HIPPOHOP (BROOKHAVEN)

One of Atlanta’s original bounce houses, your kids will have a ‘hopping’ good time at HippoHopp in Brookhaven! Older kids will love the rock climbing wall, and crawlers can enjoy their own toddler only play area. Socks are required and no outside food is allowed, but their organic food selection will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

CATCH AIR (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)

Catch Air is by far Atlanta’s flashiest chain of indoor play centers, with locations all over Metro Atlanta. While specifics may vary based on location, activities include an interactive dance floor, a soft play toddler area for the youngest guests, a play structure which includes climbing, sliding, swinging and more, and Tiny Town, for guests under 4 feet.

The clean lines, bright colors and loud music are definitely appealing to the younger set. No outside food allowed.

Located in Cumming, Dacula, Johns Creek, Marietta, and Snellville.

GLOW GALAXY (NORCROSS)

They may bill themselves as a birthday party destination, but Glow Galaxy also offers limited open play. This glow in the dark facility has two play arenas which include slides, inflatables and obstacle courses, a sports court and a mini-golf course. Wear your favorite white or tie-dyed shirt and watch as you glow!

AT THE MALL (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)

Did you know that both Town Center at Cobb and Mall of Georgia have indoor play areas? They are great for a rainy day! Kids are secure inside a walled area with only one entry/exit so it’s easy to keep an eye on them.

SKY ZONE (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)

This international chain of trampoline parks is located all over the Metro Atlanta area, and is a jumpers paradise, with freestyle jump, ultimate dodgeball, skyhoops, and just plain old jumping fun! Sky Zone is filled with fun things to do, and they offer Glow Nights on certain weekends.

For those parents who fancy themselves the American Ninja Warrior type, check out the warped wall while the kids elevate themselves out of energy!

You’ll find Sky Zone locations in Atlanta, Roswell, McDonough, and Buford.

You’ll find great permanent exhibits, such as Fundamentally Food, which includes a child sized replica of a cafe, and Leaping Into Learning, with fishing, a language kiosk and a treehouse for kids up to age 5. My toddlers absolutely love the fishing here — it’s way too fun!

You’ll also find ever-changing visiting exhibits here, so there’s always something new to discover.

Not your typical indoor playground, Andretti Karting in both Buford and Marietta offers family fun for bigger kids and adults alike.

With Georgia’s fastest indoor karting for bigger kids, a 7D theater ride for guests 40” and taller, and a climbing zone which includes a zip line, a cosmic rock wall and a ropes course, this place is full of action-packed fun.

SPARKLES FAMILY FUN CENTER (KENNESAW, HIRAM)

Once only known for roller skating, Sparkles Family Fun Centers is now so much more! Roller skating is still their main attraction, but you will also find arcades, laser tag (in some locations), and a 2-story indoor playground you can rock, roll and climb your way to exhaustion.

FERNBANK MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (ATLANTA)

While the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta is better known for its dinosaurs and exhibits, Nature Quest, their indoor play space, is a great place to learn while you explore.

My kids absolutely love Nature Quest, and would still play there if they weren’t over the age limit! It’s a really fun place with lots to explore. Climb into a tree, walk across bridges, find toy turtles, build with blocks, and so much more. This is one indoor play spot that was truly built with kids in mind, and it’s awesome to watch your kids play and learn here at the same time.

Buck’s Sports Barn is a 4,000 square foot facility in the heart of Buckhead where you’ll find birthday parties and super cool classes, from aerial arts and circus arts to sword-playing and swashbuckling!

While they don’t do drop in times, they are definitely worth looking into for a weekly class that your kids will beg to attend.
