    I’m looking for place to have a birthday party for my two year old for this Saturday early afternoon. I primarly want somewhere that I can bring my guest, everything is layed out, and I don’t have to clean up after. HELP!!!

    • What part of town are you in John? I recommend Painted Penguin. My two year old loved the painting. Let the kids do several ornaments for a birthday tree. Get a cookie cake from the food court downstairs.

    • OK Kimberly — Here is what comes to mind… a cooking birthday party with Young Chef’s Academy?? My nephew did this when he was 9 and it was AWESOME! Maybe a Paint Your Own pottery or canvas class?? Chamberlains Chocolates recently changed owners and they are doing some neat classes where they tell you about the history of chocolate and let you make a few pieces. I think you even get to paint your chocolate with colorful chocolate icing. Not sure if she is into American Girl, but they have a gorgeous cafe with fun birthday celebrations…Little Shope of Stories is neat too, if she’s a bookworm like I am! I hope this helps a little!

    • I don’t know of one, Lauren, but INK in Gainesville has a real firetruck inside that the kids can climb on…and they allow parties. I think it’d be a great compromise!

    Any ideas for a hang out spot for a 12 year old boy? My son doesn’t want a party per se, but somewhere we he can just hang out with his friends (supervised, of course).
