  11. Hello,

I am looking for two separate venues. My son is celebrating his birthday in late June, and he loves wrestling. Are there any venues that may be amateur wrestling that will put on a show and allow a tour?? Help!!

Also, I have twin daughters that will turn the BIG 13 in early December. They are really girly and enjoy arts and crafts, design, and cooking. Any ideas on venues that will not be overly geared towards the little ones, but will allow them to be the superstar/glamour girls for a day? Any and all help and ideas will be greatly appreciated!

  12. Has anyone had any experience with the human sized hampster balls or zorb balls or water walking balls? Expensive to rent them, wondering if they are worth it? Is there a venue to where you can just go do it? All that I have seen are rentals.

    • OK Kimberly — Here is what comes to mind… a cooking birthday party with Young Chef’s Academy?? My nephew did this when he was 9 and it was AWESOME! Maybe a Paint Your Own pottery or canvas class?? Chamberlains Chocolates recently changed owners and they are doing some neat classes where they tell you about the history of chocolate and let you make a few pieces. I think you even get to paint your chocolate with colorful chocolate icing. Not sure if she is into American Girl, but they have a gorgeous cafe with fun birthday celebrations…Little Shope of Stories is neat too, if she’s a bookworm like I am! I hope this helps a little!

Any ideas for a hang out spot for a 12 year old boy? My son doesn’t want a party per se, but somewhere we he can just hang out with his friends (supervised, of course). We’ve been to Dave and Busters, Main Event, and those types of places. His bday is the 22nd of this month, any suggestions appreciated!
He is not really into video games or things like that.

  35. strongly recommend adding Red Door Playhouse in Marietta http://reddoorplayhouse.com/open/youth-programs/birthday-parties/. Best kid’s birthday party EVER!! We did my daughter’s 5th birthday there (3 years ago) and parents are still telling me it was the best birthday party they have ever been to. They also do adult parties and since my daughter’s party was so much fun my husband and I did a joint birthday party for us there this summer. So. Much. Fun!!!

  36. Fantastic Post! I totally agree and have given the same advice to many of my friends who have asked the same question. Drawing on the right side of the brain is great. My mom read it when I was young and a budding artist to help guide me. Thanks for your terrific information.
