Family Fun Abounds at the Amazing Pettit Creek Farms

Just a few miles from historic downtown Cartersville, Pettit Creek Farms is home to a menagerie of animals to rival metropolitan zoos.

Since 1945, the 80-acre Pettit Creek Farms has been part of the Cartersville, Georgia scene. You’ll find amazing animals from all over the globe, such as camels, emu, zebras, and reindeer, but you’ll also find sheep, goats, cows, and chickens.

At Pettit Creek Farms, you can take a farm tour, attend one of their special events, zipline, host a birthday party, and get up close and personal with some of the exotic animals found on the farm. Here are some of our favorite things to do at Pettit Creek Farms.

TOURS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, AND FUN…OH MY!

FARM TOURS

Taking a Farm Tour at Pettit Creek Farms is a great way to get to know the animals here so much better. Offered throughout the year, both kids and adults will love seeing this Cartersville farm that’s home to animals from around the world.

Pettit Creek Farms is home to Georgia’s largest camel herd, so getting to see them is a real treat. You’ll find more than 20 different varieties of animals here, including camels, giraffe, kangaroos, sheep, capybara, reindeer, and more.

During the Farm Tour at Pettit Creek Farms, you’ll stay in your vehicle and see the animals in their enclosures. Purchase a bag of food for them, and you can either throw the food their way or feed them from your car window. It’s a great way to see the animals up close, and they may even thank you with a slobbery kiss!

There are add-on activities offered at the end of the tour, like pony rides, the petting zoo, swings, zipline tours, and more. The add-on activities are cash only (usually about $5 each), so make sure you’re prepared.

Farm Tours take place on select days throughout the year, but the Farm Tour Season usually ends in late August before they reopen for Pumpkin Fest season in late September. Check HERE for dates and times.
