If you’re looking for a fun way to explore Georgia’s state parks, the Georgia State Parks Passport program offers an engaging way to document your adventures. This keepsake booklet features photos and descriptions of the state’s diverse parks and historic sites, along with mini-adventures like “Fall Foliage” and “Waterfall Way” to inspire your travels.

You can obtain a passport at any Georgia State Park & Historic Site gift shop, select REI stores in metro Atlanta, or by making a donation through the Friends of Georgia State Parks website.

Once you have your passport, registering it online grants access to various challenges, special events, discounts, and rewards, including seasonal sticker challenges. These challenges encourage exploration and offer unique stickers upon completion.

The current and upcoming challenges include:

  • Chasing Waterfalls 2025: Visit one of Georgia’s breathtaking waterfalls, take a photo with your passport, and share your journey by June 1, 2025, to earn this sticker.
  • Happy Little Trees 5K: Complete a 5K at any Georgia State Park between April 19-29, 2025, snap a photo during the race, and submit it online to receive this sticker.
  • First Day Hike 2025: It’s too late for the 2025 sticker, but make plans for 2026!
  • Wander North Georgia: Visit either Black Rock Mountain or Tallulah Gorge State Park and take a selfie at the Wander North Georgia store to complete this challenge.

Looking ahead, the “Blooms and Beauty Challenge” is set to launch soon, celebrating the vibrant flora of Georgia’s state parks. Details will be available on the Friends of Georgia State Parks website.

For dedicated explorers aiming to visit all Georgia state parks, the Georgia State Parks Passport Challenge Coin offers a prestigious reward. By collecting stamps or stickers from each park and completing your passport, you can earn this exclusive coin as a testament to your dedication.

Embarking on these challenges not only enriches your outdoor experiences but also connects you with a community of fellow adventurers passionate about Georgia’s natural beauty.
