Get ready to run through the Happy Little Trees!

The Happy Little Trees 5K is back! Friends of Georgia State Parks is once again teaming up with several states to host this fun, inclusive virtual race—where you get to enjoy the outdoors and support local forests at the same time.

Inspired by Bob Ross’ love of nature, this event lets you complete your 5K your way—walk, run, bike, skate, paddle, or use a mobility device—anywhere you choose.

The race window is open from April 22 (Earth Day) to April 26 (Arbor Day), giving you plenty of time to soak in the beauty of nature while earning some fun Bob Ross-inspired swag.

For a $36 registration fee, participants receive:
🌲 A Happy Little Trees T-shirt
🎨 A commemorative bib number
🏅 A finisher’s medal inspired by Bob Ross

Even better? Proceeds go toward tree planting and forest conservation efforts in state parks! When you sign up, you can choose which participating state your registration supports.

This would be a perfect race to complete at a Georgia State Park—there’s no shortage of happy little trees to admire along the way.
