If you’re going to take a once-in-a-lifetime amazing vacation to America’s First National Park, then you’ve got to do it right. Glamping Yellowstone is THE way to experience the great outdoors, and there are several options only minutes from the Yellowstone National Park Wyoming main gates.
Here are the deets you need on the area’s seven most luxurious options for your glamping experience.
UNDER CANVAS
Under Canvas West Yellowstone is the gold standard when it comes to glamping near the national parks. Located near the west entrance, you’ll find a special rustic luxury here and uninterrupted views. Hiking trails, fishing lakes, and a restaurant and bar offer fun opportunities for your time outside the park. Nope – no electricity! But you’ll find wood burning stoves to keep you warm, and private baths perfect for couples or families.
Our favorite option is the Stargazer with Kids Tent! The Stargazer is the upscale tent shown above – with a king sized bed – plus a second adjacent tent for the kids featuring 2 twin beds and a lounge area. (Please note, a third rollaway bed can also be added.)
And added in 2023, Under Canvas opened a second location outside of Yellowstone’s north gate. Under Canvas North Yellowstone – Paradise Valley is located on 50 acres of Montana ranchland and features valley and mountain views, 50 safari-style tents, and a river running through the property that provides onsite fly fishing opportunities. You can make your reservation there now!

The luxury tents here authentic Sioux-style tipis, crafted by the same company that built the tents used in Dances With Wolves and The Last Samurai.
If you’re looking for some fun outside the park, add an adventure to your stay. Choose from whitewater rafting, kayaking or fly-fishing on the world famous Yellowstone River, or go for a more relaxing lazy float.
