Why is 365 Atlanta Traveler giving you info about discounted Colorado lift tickets? Simple. As I write this, round trip tickets to Denver from Atlanta are under $300. Having gone on many snowboarding trips from Atlanta, Colorado is always amongst the cheapest destinations. Often cheaper even than driving or flying to West Virginia’s Snowshoe.
But lift tickets anywhere can be expensive. You have to look at all of the options. And whatever you do, never ever buy at the last minute for an extended trip.
We were just tuned in to a great source for lif ticket discounts, Colorado Ski Country USA . They have some great deals, especially when it comes to bringing the kiddos. Check out all of the Colorado Ski Country USA deals below.
We usually opt for one of the two premier ski passes in the US, Epic or Ikon. Each has their own list of resorts, and together encompass all of the major properties in Colorado and beyond. When planning a getaway from Atlanta, you’ll want to check the base prices at either Epic or Ikon first, depending on the resort(s) you’re looking at.
Before you buy, look at some of the deals that Colorado Ski Country USA offers. They serve a number of major Colorado resorts like Copper, Winter Park, A-Basin, Aspen and Steamboat, as well as smaller resorts like Cooper and Eldora.
The deals are definitely more weighted towards heavy discounts on kids and teen tickets, but they have some adult deals as well. The point is, you may want to purchase you’re adult tickets separately, and then supplement the kids tickets with a Colorado Ski Country USA deal. Note – the resorts offered are definitely aligned with the Ikon pass, and not Epic.
Here’s a list of the current deals from Colorado Ski Country USA.
Ski Passport (grades 3-6)
4 days each at 20 Colorado member resorts, which is 80 days on the slopes for $67. Plus two free junior rentals at Christy Sports. This means you can spend $67 for a 4 day lift ticket at Steamboat, or any of the 40 resorts on the list for your 9-12 year old. [Tickets]
Gems Teen Pass (ages 12–17)
2 days each at 11 Gems member resorts which is 22 days on the slopes for $199. For graduates of the Ski Passport, the new Gems Teen Pass expands CSCUSA’s reach across the teen years—and helps keep families skiing together affordably. The list of resorts here is narrowed quite a bit so look closely. [Tickets]
