TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box: We Ate It All In One Sitting

You might remember that I tried the Sakuraco subscription box recently, and when I did my kiddos were very jealous. That’s why we also agreed to review TokyoTreat Snack Box from the same company – geat for kids (and adults, too!)

TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box: We Ate It All In One Sitting

This snack box subscription lets you and the family enjoy Japanese snacks (sweet and savory) every month! And I’ll tell you, the four of us loved it, and tried everything all in one sitting.

Sign up by 5/15 & get FREE Japan-exclusive ninja-inspired treats with your Ninja box using code NINJA24!

If you’ve been looking for the right monthly treat box – this is why:

It’s one of the biggest Japanese snack boxes out there

You’ll get 15-20 different treats – and they’re all full size! The bag of orange KitKats included 7 individually wrapped bars. And the packet of ramen was delicious and huge!

It’s not just candy

We loved that it included sweet, savory and salty snacks. We tried apple juice from Japanese orchard apples, spicy ramen noodles, salty wasabi rice crackers and more.

In fact, every box comes with different flavors of KitKat, juice and ramen (and oh so much more!)

All snack ingredients are laid out for you

Most of the snacks are vegetarian, and the website and enclosed booklet outlines any potential allergens for each item (such as wheat, soy, dairy, etc).

Each month highlights a special theme

The box we tried was a “Ninja” box featuring katana sword candy and other eats that have played a huge part in shaping Japanese history, much like ninjas.

Other box themes include “Valentine’s Day”, “Mt Fuji”, “Anime” and more. There’s even a Birthday Box!

You can make it a learning experience

As a homeschool mom, anytime I can make learning fun, I call it a win. Every box includes a culture guide that explains the snacks, but also ties in interesting information about the theme and culture of Japan.

Better than other options

Unlike many other Japanese snack boxes, TokyoTreat is a Japanese company (not a US-based Japanophile) and this gives them access to treats that can only be found in Japan. They are also specially curated from small makers on the island.

And, if that’s not enough of a reason… you get MORE snacks for LESS money!
