Taste of Alpharetta 2024 is in the books. If you missed it, my sincere condolences. Let me try to make it up to you.
Here’s a recap of what went down, to include the coveted People’s Choice Awards that span five categories including Best Street Food, Best Vegetarian, the Rookie Award, and Best Overall. So if you couldn’t make it to TOA, you can still hit up these special award winners.
As a bonus, I’ll remind you of a few upcoming awesome summertime Alpharetta events to put on the calendar.
Taste of Alpharetta 2024 included over 60 restaurants in one, fun night. Attendees sampled delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts from the top chefs in town, saw unique culinary demonstrations, and took part in activities for all ages and entertainment to please every palate.
There was no entry fee for the event. Attendees purchased tickets to be used at any of the tents to enjoy the best food and drink in Alpharetta.
Here’s the list of TOA People’s Choice Award winners this year. An unprecedented two restaurants made the list twice!
The Rookie Award: Beto’s Tacos
Beto’s Tacos made a remarkable debut at the festival, capturing The Rookie Award with its vibrant and authentic Mexican cuisine. Despite being a newcomer, Beto’s Tacos quickly gained a loyal following thanks to its flavorful and freshly prepared dishes. Their signature tacos, featuring Al Pastor, Pollo Asado, and Asada, were a hit among attendees.
Tried & True: M Thai Street Food
M Thai Street Food secured the Tried & True award, celebrating its consistent delivery of authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. Known for its rich and aromatic dishes, M Thai Street Food has become a beloved staple in Alpharetta’s food scene. Festival-goers enjoyed classic Thai favorites such as Pad Thai, green curry, and spring rolls, all prepared with traditional techniques and ingredients.
Best Vegetarian: Beto’s Tacos
In addition to winning The Rookie Award, Beto’s Tacos also received the Best Vegetarian award. Their creative and flavorful vegetarian options set them apart, proving that meat-free dishes can be just as delicious and satisfying. Festival attendees raved about the Vegeteriano, which showcased the same level of care and quality as its meat-based counterparts.
Best Street Food: M Thai Street Food
M Thai Street Food also took home the Best Street Food award, further highlighting its excellence in delivering quick, delicious, and authentic Thai dishes. Their street food offerings, such as crispy spring rolls, chicken & shrimp dumplings, and spicy papaya salad, were a crowd favorite. The vibrant flavors and convenient, portable format of their dishes provided the perfect street food experience, making M Thai Street Food a must-visit booth.
Best Overall: Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar
Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar was honored with the Best Overall award, reflecting its superior culinary offerings. This upscale eatery impressed festival-goers with its expertly prepared steaks and lamb lollipops with mint chimichurri, a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary flavors. Their use of locally sourced ingredients, coupled with elegant presentation, made Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar a standout favorite at this year’s Taste of Alpharetta.
