The only thing better than hiking at a Georgia State Park is hiking with your four-legged bestie…and that’s where the Tails on Trails Club comes in!
The Tails on Trails Club with Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites is a fun way to hike the trails and explore the mountains, lakes, and forests of Georgia with your furry best friend.
To join the club, you just purchase the Tails on Trails Club Membership online for $20, and Georgia State Parks will then mail you your own club T-shirt and a matching bandana for your pet to wear while you hike. Keep track of your accomplishments using this Printable Checklist. Once you’ve hiked 12 of the 42 participating Georgia State Parks, you’ll earn bragging rights and a certificate of completion.
We love taking our pups with us on our Georgia State Parks adventures! Some of our dogs’ favorites include F.D. Roosevelt State Park, Cloudland Canyon State Park, Fort Yargo State Park, and Sweetwater Creek State Park.
You don’t necessarily need a dog to be able to complete the challenge on your own…but you’re going to want one. Your dog will love you fur-ever! No time limit applies, so hikers can take as long as they want to complete the requirements.
