Have you seen the TV series Bar Rescue on Paramount Plus? It’s a reality series starring nightclub owner and consultant Jon Taffer, and featuring a down and out bar location in need of renovation and revitalization.
It’s reality TV at it’s best, which, granted, is not for everyone. But for someone like me who grew up doing almost every job possible at various restaurant/bars in my home town in NJ, the show can be a real kick.
Did you know that series host Jon Taffer opened a restaurant in Alpharetta in 2020? Way to put your money where your mouth is, Jon.
Taffer’s Tavern in downtown Alpharetta currently enjoys a 4-star rating on Yelp. Food and ambience reviews are particularly high – and boy they better be, Jon! The menu includes tavern-inspired dishes with a distinctive chef’s flare. With starter’s like deviled eggs topped with pork belly and entrees like braised short rib and penne vodka, this may be a more upscale tavern experience than you expected.
And let’s be honest, if you can open a restaurant in late 2020 and stay open to this day, it say’s something about you and the quality service you provide.
Season 9 of Bar Rescue premiered on February 25th on various pay TV outlets, and will be available on Paramount+ later this year.
Taffer’s Tavern is located on 33 South Main Street in Alpharetta. Reservations and on-line ordering are both available.
