There’s a new chaperone policy in place across all Six Flags properties, including Six Flags Over Georgia and Hurricane Harbor. Whether you’re a season ticket holder, or casual attendee of the park, you may want to catch up on the new rules that may impact how your teens/tweens are able to visit.

Six Flag’s new policy requires a 21+ year-old chaperone for all kids 15 and under. Of utmost importance is the requirement that the chaperone be present in the park and available by phone at all times. Meaning they just don’t check upon entry – they can stop the youngsters at any time and ask them to get in touch with their chaperone. The new policy is in effect on Friday, July 26th.
From Six Flags – “Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park after 4:00 p.m. local time to close. The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.
“One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.
“Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Six Flags Over Georgia ticket and season passholders.”
In other words, those gangs of young teens and tweens running around unattended are subject to expulsion from the park if the chaperone cannot be contacted.
