Elegant Eats & Ale Beats: Roswell’s Culinary Contrast at One Address

Dan and I are always looking for our monthly date nights. Sometimes we want something fancy… and sometimes we want to take the motorcycle for beer, pizza and live music. Alas, Tim and Lisa Stevens have given us both… and they are right next door in the same shopping center.

From the Earth Brewing Company

From the Earth is no newcomer to Roswell, with awards a plenty including their most recent: 2nd Place Winner: 2023 Best Brewpub in the US USA Today’s 10Best.

Guests are embraced by the inviting ambiance, where they can savor an array of about twelve in-house brews alongside a farm-to-table menu that spans from fresh salads to sumptuous sandwiches, steaks, and seafood.

The brewpub’s dedication to acquiring ingredients that are as fresh and local as possible is evident in every dish, showcasing a celebration of local flavors and community spirit.

Farm-to-table? Yes. But they are also “table-to-farm” by sharing their spent grain with local farmers to feed their cattle and animals.

In addition to great food and brews, you’ll want to check out their Back Porch Concert Series. You need to leave Fido at home. Also, BYO food or drinks, but you won’t need them. You can bring a lawn chair and small table, your kids (only if you want), and a smile.

There is a fee for the concerts, and the ability to upgrade to VIP for a special seating area, VIP Bar, VIP bathrooms and two beers.

Steep Canyon Rangers play next (tickets here) on April 26.

Right next to the brewhouse you’ll find Bask Steakhouse. Same shopping center, same owners, completely different experience.

A 1920’s club-like atmosphere with white tablecloths and leather chairs are backdrop to owner Tim Stevens’ love for fine dining – and eye for crafting an incredible steak.

Filet, porterhouse, tomahawk… even wagyu steak top the menu with elk, fish, duck and other options rounding out the entrees. And the sides are Southern chic as well… collards, mac & cheese and more.

Be sure to watch their events that include Thursday Oyster Hour, wine tastings, bourbon tastings and more.
