If you live in Atlanta, chances are you’ve taken the trip down to Orlando at some point. Maybe it was a family theme park adventure, a quick getaway, or just a warm escape in the winter. But if it’s been a while, 2025 might be the year to go back. Orlando is rolling out 25 brand-new experiences—including a whole new theme park, fresh dining spots, thrilling rides, and even a hidden speakeasy.

Universal’s Epic Universe – A Brand-New Theme Park
Universal is opening its first new theme park in 25 years on May 22—and it’s massive. Five unique worlds are packed with rides, shows, and immersive experiences:
- Celestial Park – A dreamy landscape with glowing gardens, waterfalls, and astronomical-themed architecture.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic – A mash-up of 1920s wizarding Paris from Fantastic Beasts and the British Ministry of Magic.
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD – Step into the world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk – A Viking village filled with dragons, coasters, and interactive adventures.
- Dark Universe – A gothic land of classic Universal Monsters, including Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolfman.
New at Walt Disney World
“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” – A brand-new stage show at Hollywood Studios with puppetry, projections, and live performances.
“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” – A theatrical show starring Maleficent, Captain Hook, and other infamous Disney villains.
EPCOT’s Test Track Overhaul – The Chevrolet-sponsored ride is getting an all-new futuristic redesign.
Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge – A new, pirate-themed lounge in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom.
Disney Starlight Parade – The first nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom since 2016, featuring illuminated floats and favorite characters.
Thrills Beyond Disney & Universal
SeaWorld’s Arctic Flying Theater – A new immersive ride that takes you soaring over the icy Arctic.
Fun Spot Orlando’s New Coasters & Rides – The I-Drive location is adding new family-friendly rides, while the Kissimmee park is debuting a swinging pendulum coaster.
Blue Man Group Returns – The high-energy, paint-splattering show is back, now at ICON Park.
LEGOLAND’s SEA LIFE Aquarium Expansion – New exhibits bring underwater worlds to life with interactive displays and unique marine creatures.
Gatorland’s Sweet Tooth Candy Shop – A $1.8 million candy shop selling gourmet chocolates, ice cream, and oversized lollipops.
New Dining & Nightlife Hotspots
Epilogue Speakeasy – A library-inspired, adults-only speakeasy at the Four Seasons Resort, serving literary-themed cocktails. (Pictured above.)
Gyukatsu Rose – A Japanese restaurant in Winter Park specializing in crispy fried beef cutlets.
Moso Nori – A sushi hand-roll bar from a Michelin-recognized chef in Winter Park.
Alien Treats – A dessert shop in downtown Orlando selling freeze-dried candies, galactic gummies, and space-themed ice cream.
Oza Izakaya – A new Japanese bar near SeaWorld, blending izakaya-style small plates with an omakase experience.
The Glass Knife (Winter Park) – A second location for this beloved bakery, featuring cakes, pastries, and brunch.

Universal Helios Grand Hotel – A luxury hotel with a direct entrance into Epic Universe.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas – Island Tower – Offering villas with Magic Kingdom views and full kitchens.
