A visit to Savannah is always fun, but we’ve found something that makes it even better — a stay at The Kimpton Brice luxury boutique hotel.
I had a chance to spend a girls weekend with my mom at The Kimpton Brice and fell in love with its amazing location, delicious onsite restaurant, fantastic amenities, comfy rooms, and some of the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. If you’re looking to up your Savannah game — a stay here is the perfect way to do it.
Located on the Georgia coast just four hours from Atlanta, the historical city of Savannah, Georgia, is well known for its beauty, outdoor adventures, museums, tours, restaurants, shopping, arts and culture, and more.
With so much to do in this amazing city, finding the perfect spot to relax is important — and that’s where The Kimpton Brice comes in. This luxury boutique hotel recently underwent a property-wide renovation and refresh, and it’s better than ever.
We recently had a chance to visit The Kimpton Brice and loved it! We know you will too. Here are some of the best reasons to stay at The Kimpton Brice during your next Savannah getaway.
1. Location, Location, Location
Located within Washington Square on East Bay Street, The Kimpton Brice is hidden in plain sight. In fact, if you’ve been to Savannah before, you’ve definitely driven or walked by it!
The Kimpton Brice is just a short walking distance away from River Street — which I think is perfect. You’re close enough to walk to everything River Street offers, but also can easily get away and relax when you’re ready.
You’ll also find you can walk to most of the most popular Savannah sights from The Kimpton Brice. Stroll the historical squares, visit the nearby shops and restaurants, explore a museum, or catch a tour.
When we arrived at The Kimpton Brice, we originally planned to use our car to get around, but quickly realized that wasn’t necessary. We easily walked everywhere we wanted to go and it was amazing! Savannah is a gorgeous city, and walking is the best way to take it all in. The Kimpton Brice makes it easy.
Nearby spots include…
- Washington Square (just outside the entrance)
- The Pirates’ House restaurant (just across the street)
- River Street (3-minute walk)
- River Street Sweets (9-minute walk)
- City Market (15-minute walk)
- Savannah Hilton Head International Airport (22-minute drive)
- Tybee Island (20-minute drive)
Additionally, there is no shortage of nearby restaurants within walking distance. Vic’s On the River, Myrtle & Rose, The Grey, Cafe M, Dotties, and Little Duck Diner are all awesome choices you will find nearby.

2. History in a Historical City
In a historical city such as Savannah, it makes sense that each building has a past…and that’s true of The Kimpton Brice. Not only was it a Coca-Cola bottling plant in its past, it was originally a horse livery for the fire station!
Although The Kimpton Brice has all the modern amenities you could want, you’ll also see some remnants of its historical past. My favorite was the arches in the Secret Garden from its days as a horse livery. Additionally, make sure to get The Brice Coke Float at the onsite restaurant, Pacci. The delicious drink pays homage to its past as a Coca-Cola bottling plant.
The entire atmosphere of The Kimpton Brice gives you a feeling that you aren’t just staying at a hotel, you are staying at a Savannah hotel, and that makes the whole experience so much better.
3. Rooms at The Kimpton Brice

We stayed in one of their guest rooms with two queen beds and were super impressed with the space. The Italian linens on the bed were very comfortable, and we loved the mirrored armoire that included umbrellas and a yoga mat for use during our stay.
We found plenty of outlets, a cooler fridge, an amazing shower, and beautiful views overlooking the Secret Garden. It was truly a great place to stay and we loved it.

4. The Kimpton Brice Amenities
One of the best things about The Kimpton Brice is their amenities. Not only do they have some amenities you may expect — like an outdoor pool and onsite fitness center — they also have some you may not think about — like bicycles and an Evening Wine Hour. Let’s get into it!
- The seasonal outdoor pool is absolutely gorgeous. You’ll find plenty of lounge chairs and striped umbrellas surrounding the sparkling pool. It’s super Insta-worthy and the perfect place to cool off.
- The Kimpton Brice offers custom-designed PUBLIC bikes for a ride around town. We loved this! It you get tired of walking, a bike is the way to go. There are nearby bike lanes that will make traveling around town even easier for you.
- The Evening Wine Hour in the Secret Garden was our absolute favorite perk. The Evening Wine Hour takes place each night from 5pm to 6pm in the Garden, weather permitting. (If the weather isn’t great, they move it to the lobby.) I cannot express how amazing this was. They’ve got some awesome wine choices and — while we were there — some small bites too. It was great to sit out in the Garden enjoying a glass of wine with our fellow guests under the open sky.
- The Kimpton Brice also offers valet parking and they make it so easy! I’m usually not a big valet person, but this was great. When you’re ready to get your car back, you simply click the texted link to request it and it’s there for you so quickly. It was a true perk that we really enjoyed.
- The Kimpton Brice has an Old Savannah Trolley Tours Concierge in their lobby who can set you up with trolley tours and carriage rides. They make planning so easy!
5. Pet Friendliness at The Kimpton Brice
The one thing that was immediately recognizable about The Kimpton Brice as soon as we arrived was that this hotel is super pet friendly. And maybe I’m crazy, but every dog we met was the sweetest, cutest, nicest pup ever. I swear!
The Kimpton Brice is the perfect location for your four-legged bestie — or any of your pets, honestly. At Kimpton, they welcome your pet — no matter their size, weight, or breed. And it’s NO EXTRA CHARGE! Can you believe that?! If your pet fits through the door, they’ll welcome them in.
At The Kimpton Brice, they will supply loaner beds, water bowls and mats, as well as a concierge list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers and pet boutiques.
Your pets are also welcome at the Evening Wine Reception in the Garden, and please bring them! The Evening Wine Reception was already awesome, but seeing the parade of pets made it even better.
6. Hospitality
Savannah is known as “The Hostess City of the South,” and The Kimpton Brice helps it live up to that name. Every single person we met at The Kimpton Brice was above and beyond great.
No matter how great a place is on paper, it won’t feel special if the people don’t make it so, and they do make it amazing here. The valets, front desk staff, concierge, the Wine Reception bartender, the cleaning staff…just everyone! They were all quick with a smile, happy to help, funny and kind. I really left my stay here feeling like I was leaving friends.

7. Pacci Italian Kitchen + Bar
One of the absolute best things about The Kimpton Brice is their onsite restaurant and bar, Pacci. This Italian eatery is definitely worth a visit.
Pacci is a beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. It’s open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they offer a Weekend Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 2pm.
We visited for dinner on a Saturday night and were treated to live music as soon as we arrived. Their bar offers delicious cocktails and wine, which we loved, and their menu felt like it had so many amazing options it was hard to choose.
I eventually chose the Ravioli ai Funghi and it was SO good. I’m still dreaming of it. My mom had the Salmon Trenette al Pesto and couldn’t stop raving over it. We were truly so very impressed and cannot wait to go back.
The Kimpton Brice
We absolutely loved our stay at The Kimpton Brice and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The accommodations were amazing, the staff was outstanding, and the location cannot be beat. We’ll bring our dogs next time!
In our opinion, this is the perfect place to stay for a quintessential Savannah visit. You’ve got all the history with modern amenities to make you feel comfortable. You can book your next trip to The Kimpton Brice HERE.
