For the Ultimate Girls Lunch: SereniTEA Tea Room

For the perfect spot to catch up over a cozy girls’ lunch, SereniTea Tea Room offers just the right balance of charm and flavor. This elegant tea room in the heart of Estes Park invites you to slow down and savor an afternoon with your favorite people. The menu is filled with delicate sandwiches, fresh salads, and a rotating selection of homemade desserts that feel like a hug on a plate. Pair your meal with a carefully brewed pot of tea—there are plenty to choose from, so you’ll find the ideal match for any mood or craving.

If you want to make it a special occasion, do what we did and order the Afternoon Tea. Four sandwiches, two scones with clotted cream and jam, three indulgent pastries, and an unlimited pot of tea are served on a delicate 3-tier stand.

While it’s a beautiful display, the thing that most impressed me is that this meal is not just for show. Every sandwich, scone and dessert was amazingly delicious. And yes, it is enough to fill you up, but you are welcome to share. Additionally you can add a soup or salad, or a wine/bubbles to your lunch.

Also, should your lunch date be 12yo or younger, there is a “Princess Tea” offering with more kid-friendly bites and an adult-friendly price tag.

Ideal for Fueling Before a Hike: Coffee on the Rocks

Coffee on the Rocks sits before the Beaver Meadows entrance to RMNP, making it a convenient stop for a quick breakfast or coffee break as you head into the park (or any time really!) The coffee is smooth and rich, and the breakfast sandwiches truly hit the spot—simple, fresh, and satisfying. Yum!

In the warmer months, it’s hard to beat sitting outside by the lake, enjoying your meal with a side of mountain views. The ducks that call the pond home add to the charm, entertaining visitors as they paddle and waddle around.

During the colder months, the indoor seating provides a cozy spot to warm up and relax. It’s the kind of place that feels welcoming, whether you’re grabbing something to go or lingering for a quiet moment before a busy day. It’s always worth a stop.

Hasn’t (Yet) Won a James Beard Award, but Should: Bird & Jim

Bird & Jim is my absolute favorite spot in Estes Park, and for good reason. This modern mountain bistro is all about showcasing the flavors of Colorado, with locally sourced ingredients and a menu that feels both refined and approachable. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, from the elk carpaccio to the bison short ribs, making each bite a celebration of the region’s bounty.

I’ve tried almost everything on the menu here… and my favorite – at least today – is the Lamb Bolognese. But, whatever you order, do NOT skip the charcuterie board for the table.

The atmosphere here is just as unforgettable, blending rustic charm with a polished vibe that feels welcoming and special all at once. Whether it’s the creative cocktails, the perfectly seared steaks, or the indulgent desserts, everything about Bird & Jim screams award-worthy. It hasn’t snagged a James Beard Award—yet—but it absolutely deserves to.

Delicious, Casual Eats with Live Music: The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern has a laid-back vibe that feels like a warm hug after a long day. Inside, it’s all log cabin charm with a crackling fireplace, cozy corners, and the perfect setting for sharing a great meal with friends. It’s a little off the beaten path, so you’ll find more locals than tourists, which only adds to its welcoming feel.

The food? Absolutely incredible. The pizza stole the show at our table, with a perfect crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The French bread with whipped cinnamon honey butter was so good we ordered a second round, and the Devils on Horseback—garlic-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates with homemade aioli—disappeared in minutes.

Add in a wide selection of beer, cocktails, and a menu that spans everything from comfort food to creative dishes, and it’s easy to see why people keep coming back. Plus, it’s one of the few spots in Estes Park with live music, making it a great choice for a fun night out.

Brunch You’ll Be Dreaming About Months Later: Brunch & Co

Brunch & Co is the kind of place that leaves you thinking about your meal long after you’ve left. The food is nothing short of dreamy. I had the Here’s Johnny—peachwood ham, golden raisin mostarda, organic egg, Gruyere, watercress, hollandaise, and maple bourbon gastrique, all piled onto a B&C biscuit (pic above.) Every bite was perfection. And the name… get it? Because of The Shining and it’s location at The Stanley. So smart.

Our table also ordered the Blueberry & Lemon Curd Pancakes with sweet cream and pistachio streusel, which were rich but made for the perfect table share.

The mountain views through the big windows only add to the charm, making it an ideal spot to kick off a day in Estes Park, especially if you’re heading to a tour at The Stanley afterward. Reservations are key here—it’s no secret how good this place is. With a kids’ menu and insanely delicious options for everyone, Brunch & Co deserves a top spot on your list.

Not Your Average Pub Food: The Bull Pin

The Bull Pin isn’t just a place to bowl—it’s also a fantastic spot to grab a meal, catch a game, or enjoy one of their fun events. With large TVs throughout the restaurant, it’s perfect for sports fans looking for great food while cheering on their team. You can dine in the restaurant or order right to your lane, making it an easy choice for families and friends.

The food has reached a whole new level thanks to their new chef, who has completely transformed the menu. The cheese curds are a must—they could rival Wisconsin’s best. I tried the Korean Chicken Sandwich, which had just the right kick of spice, and the smoked brisket mac and cheese was another crowd-pleaser at our table. And don’t skip the donut holes—they’re the perfect sweet finish.

With a full bar, fun cocktails, and a super friendly staff, The Bull Pin is comfort food done right, and it’ll absolutely surprise you.

Best Family Breakfast, Even for Picky Eaters: The Egg of Estes

The Egg of Estes is the kind of place where everyone finds something to love. It’s got a classic diner vibe—bustling, unassuming, and packed with happy diners. Even if there’s a wait, it’s worth sticking it out. The menu is massive, so whether you’re craving something light or indulgent, they’ve got you covered.

I’d recommend the Bacon Avocado Scramble, which is packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The Denver Omelet is a solid choice, too, and the oatmeal is simple but done just right. It’s a great spot for families, even with picky eaters in tow, thanks to the variety and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for kicking off a day in Estes Park. And yeah… there are cocktails, too!

Refined Dining with Stunning Views: Ember Estes Park

Ember Estes Park has completely revamped its menu and atmosphere, making it a standout for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Tucked inside The Estes Park Resort with breathtaking views of Estes Lake, it’s open to everyone, whether you’re staying at the resort or just stopping by to dine.

I visited for dinner, and every dish was unforgettable. The Steak Frites—perfectly cooked bistro filet with brown butter, candied bacon, and garlic-parmesan fries—was absolutely delicious. The Burrata Antipasto stole the show with creamy burrata, grilled veggies, and a tangy balsamic reduction. And the Lobster Bisque? Packed with generous chunks of lobster, it was pure decadence.

Seasonal cocktails and wines from the sommelier pair beautifully with the menu, and there’s even outdoor seating for warmer months. Ember is a must-visit for its elevated food and unbeatable views.
