A New Bookstore That Feels Like a Crush

There’s a new shop opening in Canton that’s about to make your TBR pile—and your weekend plans—a lot more interesting.

Damsel is not your average bookstore. It’s a whole romantic experience. Part boutique, part daydream, and fully designed for readers who don’t just love stories—they live in them. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re the main character… even if all you came in for was a sticker and a book rec.

Opening soon at The Mill on Etowah, Damsel is built for the romantics. The book hoarders. The mood readers. The people who still believe in happily ever afters—and want their shopping trip to feel like one.

You’ll find tropes you love. Merch you didn’t know you needed. And a space that somehow feels like the inside of your favorite book, if your favorite book had a killer playlist and really good lighting.

Damsel opens August 2, and trust me, you’ll want to be there early. There’s buzz about exclusive swag for the first 50 people. But more than that—it’s just one of those places you’ll want to say you saw first.
