If your spring break plans are starting to feel a little too familiar—walks through Piedmont Park, a loop around the Georgia Aquarium, maybe a stop at your go-to brunch spot—it might be time to switch it up. There’s a spot in Buckhead that’s been quietly delivering full-blown adrenaline, laughter, and “wait, how did we miss that clue?!” moments: Breakout Games Atlanta.

Tucked right across from Superica, this escape room experience has 10 different rooms to choose from, all with different themes, puzzles, and storylines.
The room I’m most excited about? The CLUE room. It’s based on the board game I grew up playing (badly), and it’s the perfect mix of mystery and nostalgia. Think: secret passages, red herrings, and plenty of “aha!” moments. I can already tell my kids are going to be obsessed.
What I love about this place is it doesn’t matter if you’re bringing a group of teens, wrangling younger kids, or just want something a little more interactive than another movie—it actually works for all of that. It’s indoors (praise), totally immersive, and you don’t have to have any prior escape room experience to enjoy it.
They’ve got rooms like Kidnapping and Kidnapping 2 if you’re into high-stakes thrillers, or Island Escape for more of a tropical challenge vibe. You can check out the full lineup on their site, but fair warning—you might end up wanting to book more than one.
If you’re looking for something different this spring break that doesn’t involve sunscreen or fighting for parking at the BeltLine, this could be your move.
