Atlanta History Center: 27 Awesome Things You Have To Experience

Congratulations to the Atlanta History Center for once again making this esteemed list. We’ve been to the history center at least a dozen times, and they never fail to disappoint. We enjoy going throughout the year to enjoy the seasons, and seasonal events like Halloween and Christmas. Be sure to read out post here for everything you need to know.

What does this AAM accreditation mean? It means you’ll be visiting a top-rated museum or cultural center.

“Recognized as the field’s gold standard for museum excellence for over 50 years, AAM accreditation signifies a museum’s quality and credibility to the entire museum community, to governments and outside agencies, and to the museum-going public. The Accreditation Program ensures the integrity and accessibility of museum collections, reinforces the educational and public service roles of museums, and promotes good governance practices and ethical behavior.”

The Atlanta History Center is the only Georgia AAM accredited museum in 2024, joining the company of other renowned locations like The American Museum of Natural History in NY and the Seattle Art Museum. 33 museums nationwide made the list this year, out of which only 2 are brand new accreditations.
