Baton Rouge: The capital of Louisiana and home to LSU. Plus art, culture, history and so much more… it’s a city I love and cherish.

But it’s also home to one of the oldest blues festivals in America: Baton Rouge Blues Festival.

Mark your calendar for this year’s event: April 19 – 21, 2024. I know you will have to travel from Atlanta, but listen – this event is FREE!

Sometimes, though, you want to splurge. You can find all the deets on the BFF (ie VIP) tickets here.

Let me tell you a secret to getting the full experience. Listening?

Make time to visit hangouts like Phil Brady’s (with the longest-running 21-year Thursday night blues jam around) and the very unique Teddy’s Juke Joint in Zachary, about 30 minutes away.

There are four stages at the festival, and they are all within walking distance of the Old State Capital bldg.

You can find the lineup here, but especially awesome for those of us who can’t make it happen this year, there is a Spotify playlist of the lineup!
