WHAT IT'S LIKE VISITING SPACEX BOCA CHICA

Be prepared: There is no visitor center or gift shop. It's just a "drive-by" viewing right now...but still worth it to see history in the making

NO VISITOR CENTER

When launches are close, the road to the launch facility (not the tracking station shown here) are closed.

PREPARE FOR ROAD CLOSURES

All buildings are closed to the public, but you can drive on the public roads and still see the rockets and boosters up close.

STAY ON THE PUBLIC ROADS

At the Tracking Facility you'll see the boosters BN3 an BN4. You can get super close, but can't touch.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

At the Launch Facility you'll see SN15 --the first starship to land and stay intact and SN16.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

Launches are happening more and more frequently here. Don't expect to get this close during a launch, though!

SEE A LAUNCH

FYI, you will pass through Border Patrol on your way back from Boca Chica. Yes, even though you never left the US. Passports not needed.

BORDER PATROL

If Boca Chica Beach is open then you can visit here via canoe or kayak from South Padre Island.

VISIT BY BOAT

The SpaceX Texas facility is 5 miles from the Mexican border...about 23 miles from Brownsville, Texas.
