GLACIER NPS
MUSEUM OF THE ROCKIES
Huge fan of these prehistoric beasts? The museum happens to have one of the largest collections of dinosaur fossils in the country.
GRIZZLY & WOLF DISCOVERY CENTER
The animals here are unable to survive in the wild and serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts. Visit the center and learn to appreciate these amazing animals.
MAKOSHIKA STATE PARK
Experience the Montana badlands, where paleontologists unearth dinosaur fossils. In fact, fossil remains of the Tyrannosaurus Rex have been found here.
The Classic Tour is a 2-mile tour of the caverns. You do have to navigate 600 stairs, and maybe bend, slide, or duck waddle on some parts — so be prepared!
LEWIS & CLARK CAVERNS
YELLOWSTONE NPS
Yellowstone in primarily in Wyoming, but parts of it extend into Idaho and Montana. Montana is the proud home of the West Yellowstone entrance.
In summer you’ll find zip lining, alpine slides, mountain biking, an aerial adventure park, tubing, scenic lift rides, and hiking… making it a great year-round choice.
WHITEFISH SKI RESORT
BIG SKY RESORT
Near Bozeman this is one of the biggest ski resorts in the country. The summit sits at over 11,000 feet is only for the most well-versed skiers or those looking for beautiful views.
BEARTOOTH HWY
Beartooth Highway features a scenic view that stretches nearly 70 miles between the two states. Looking for a low-key but beautiful experience? A drive here is the perfect choice.
ZOO MONTANA
We love this 70-acre wildlife botanical garden of zoology. It is more an area of education, and seeing the animals here is a must.
