Trains, Trains, Trains!

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History in Kennesaw has long been one of our favorite spots to bring kids of all ages. It’s fantastic array of trains and other vehicles, and the rich history that comes along with it, it’s a truly a place of awe and wonder.

The museum has designed an annual event that any true train nut will not want to miss, and it’s coming up very soon.

Trains, Trains, Trains!

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History is excited to host its annual Trains, Trains, Trains! event on January 25-26, 2025, featuring interactive model train layouts, historic railroad artifacts, and train-themed activities for all ages.

If you’re into model trains in particular, this event is for you.

This year’s event marks the grand opening of the renovated Southern Railway Caboose X372, offering a unique “Board the Caboose Experience” for a $5 donation. Visitors can also shop at the expanded General Emporium for train-inspired gifts and collectibles.

Admission ranges from $5 to $10, with free entry for members and parking with shuttle service is available at Swift-Cantrell Park.
