Cloudland at McLemore Resort – the new luxury resort above the clouds at Lookout Mountain – will host several inaugural events for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Thanksgiving Dining
The festivities begin on Thursday, November 28 with a family-style Thanksgiving meal at the resort’s Croft restaurant. Beginning at 11 a.m., the festive gathering will feature traditional holiday favorites and table-side service, allowing guests to enjoy special moments with their family and friends.
Dinner is available by reservation only via OpenTable, and the last seating for the Thanksgiving celebration occurs at 4 p.m. A limited menu with a Thanksgiving dinner feature will also be available for dinner from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tailgate Time
For those who enjoy the excitement of football with Thanksgiving, Cloudland and McLemore Resort will broadcast the top gridiron games on Friday, November 29. In addition to showcasing the marquee football matchups at both locales, guests can enjoy tailgate fare and participate in yard games.
Tree Lighting and More
On Saturday, November 30, the halls of Cloudland will greet guests with festive holiday décor and activities as the lodge celebrates its inaugural Christmas season with a celebratory concert and tree lighting ceremony. Guests can hop on a hayride that traverses the resort or relax fireside at one of the resort’s outdoor patios.
Throughout Thanksgiving weekend and December, guests can enjoy the lights and holiday music; sip on hot chocolate, cider or one of Cloudland’s signature holiday beverages; write letters to Santa; and participate in classes that showcase several traditions such as custom wreath making and ornament making.
Brunch with Santa
Overnight guests and members of the public are also welcome to dine with Santa at two special brunches taking place December 14 at Croft and December 21 at The Creag.
“These events highlight the time-honored fun traditions surrounding Thanksgiving and introduce Christmas cheer as we head into December,” said Mike Burton, Resort Managing Director. “The holidays are filled with special moments for family and friends, including our Cloudland family, as we mark our first holiday season. We want to make sure guests staying with us over Thanksgiving and throughout December create special memories at the resort.”
