The Columbus Museum in Columbus, GA, is starting off the new year with a win! It has won first place as USA Today’s 10Best New Museum for 2025!
The Columbus Museum reopened in 2024 featuring a new look and new spaces. Museum officials say this national recognition celebrates COMU’s transformation into a more vibrant and visitor-centric space where art, history, and community come together like never before.
“USA Today’s 10Best award is a testament to the passion and dedication of our community,” said Museum Director Marianne Richter. “It highlights the incredible work happening here in Columbus, and we’re honored to share this moment with everyone who believes in our mission of bringing American art and history to life.”
Since reopening, The Columbus Museum has welcomed over 60,000 guests.
Founded in 1953, The Columbus Museum is one of the largest museums in the Southeast. The Museum invites visitors to celebrate creativity and culture through the experience of American art, regional history, tranquil gardens, and more.
