Alright, foodies…this one’s for you!
Taste of Woodstock is coming back to Downtown Woodstock and it’s bringing delicious bites, live music, and yummy treats along with it.
Visit Woodstock GA is delighted to invite you to the return of Taste of Woodstock on Thursday, September 12, 2024 on the beautiful Woodstock Arts Event Green in Downtown Woodstock. This fun outdoor event will take place from 5pm-9pm.
Taste of Woodstock, benefitting the Woodstock High School Band Boosters, is an awesome event where residents and visitors alike can expect an eclectic variety of delectable bites from local restaurants.
The way it works is that you buy tickets to exchange for tastes of food from participants. (Cash is not accepted at tasting tents.) Tickets cost $1 each and packages start at $5. Items are priced between 1-4 tickets ($1-$4 in value), and you get to try some of the best foods around! Water, soft drinks, beer and wine are also available at refreshment stands and will be sold for cash/card.
Ticket booths will be located at entrances along Market Street at Elm and Oak Streets.
While you’re there, go by the Woodstock Visitors Center table to vote for your favorite taste for the People’s Choice Award before 7:15pm!
Participating restaurants will have a selection of everything from sweet and savory pies to fresh smoothies and SnoBalls; Cuban cuisine and oyster dishes; Southern Italian fare and seafood; and so much more! It truly is a showcase of the wide variety of cuisine that the local Woodstock area has to offer.
“Everyone attending is invited to vote for a People’s Choice award winner,” explained Sylvia Breitbart, City of Woodstock’s Program Manager. “Four judges will also weigh in on three main categories: Best Appetizer, Best Entree, and Best Dessert. Winners of each category will be announced and presented with their awards at 7:45pm. This is always such a fun highlight of the event.”
In addition to all the yummy food, there will also be live music from the Woodstock High School Wolverine Band, Levi Ransom, Spencer Scott Smith, and Stephanie Berlanga.
The Downtown Playground directly next to this space also offers the perfect combination of fun and activity for those with children in tow, while Reformation Brewery’s vibrant backyard helps to provide ample space for all.
