From brand-new Greek street food to seafood tasting menus and craft beer celebrations, Summerhill is alive with spring energy. Here’s what’s happening this April in the historic Atlanta neighborhood:
Psito Now Open
- Psito (see-tow), the latest concept from the Pihakis Restaurant Group, is now open at 25 Georgia Avenue. This fast-casual spot delivers Mediterranean soul in every bite. With flame-kissed souvlaki, fresh-baked pita, vibrant spreads, salads, and a covered patio perfect for lingering lunches or mezze-filled evenings, Psito offers a warm welcome to the neighborhood daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Kölsch Fest at Halfway Crooks – April 12-13
- Halfway Crooks invites beer lovers to its biergarten for Kölsch Fest 2025, a weekend of traditional Kölsch-style service, great beer, and live music. On April 12, guests can kick things off with the 5 K’s for Kölsch Fun Run at 10:30 a.m. (Registration is $25 through April 6.) Music performances include Shugah Munny on April 12 and KJ and the Funkmaysons on April 13. View more details and register at runsignup.com.
Easter Celebration at Woods Chapel BBQ – April 20
- Wood’s Chapel BBQ is serving up Easter fun and Southern flavors on Sunday, April 20, from 1–5 p.m. Guests can dig into holiday specials like deviled eggs topped with pimento cheese, bacon marmalade and chives ($12); smoked lamb with green herbs and garlic paired with sweet potato hash and collards ($28); and robin’s egg cupcakes for dessert ($4). Adults can toast with $7 mimosas or $12 bloody marys, while kids enjoy Easter candy, egg decorating, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Each child will also take a decorated faux egg home as a festive keepsake.
Unexpected Seafood Prix Fixe at Little Bear
- Little Bear dives into surprising waters with a seafood-inspired tasting menu that’s anything but ordinary. Showcasing Georgia shellfish, mountain trout from Blue Ridge, wild-caught catfish from the Oconee and even seafood-inspired desserts, the prix-fixe menu runs through the end of April. Expect bold, fun pairings—from Sichuan crispy trout to a candied pecan mignardise with trout cracklin’. Reservations are highly recommended for this limited-time culinary adventure.
Boca’s Spring Specials and New Hours
- Boca is now open seven days a week from 12 to 10 p.m., serving authentic Mexican fare for lunch and dinner. Weekly deals include 15% off for Summerhill residents every Monday and $3 tacos with $11 house margaritas every Tuesday.
