🚲 Bike Rodeo

Location: 1071 Piedmont Ave NE, Community Center
Grab the helmets (they’re required!) and bring the kids for a free afternoon of two-wheeled learning and fun. Kids ages 6–12 can practice safe riding skills while parents learn tips on where and how to ride as a family in Atlanta. This one’s about more than bike tricks—it’s community-building with training wheels.

🧶 Crochet Basics: Tote Bag

Location: Community Center
Don’t know a slip stitch from a slip-up? This intro class will teach you how to make your own tote bag from granny squares—with hooks, yarn, and all materials provided. You’ll leave with a new skill and maybe a new hobby that doesn’t involve doomscrolling.

Test your brainpower on Atlanta history, park facts, nature, and more. Tickets include three drinks (yes, alcohol), and it’s 21+ only—because your brain deserves a beer while it shows off.

The pool’s open, the projector’s up, and Shrek is on the big inflatable screen. $15 gets you access to an evening swim and the movie. BYO floatie and your best ogre impression.

Location: Lake Clara Meer, Gazebo
For grades K–5, this class covers basic freshwater fishing techniques, bait types, and what you might reel in. Price is per child, materials are provided, and yes—adults need to tag along. (Think of it as peaceful parenting, rod in hand.)

Come see how your basil or mint can take your cocktail (or mocktail) game to new heights. One hour of class, one hour of socializing, and recipe cards + samples included. Garden party, upgraded.

🎨 Painted Animal Portraits

Location: Community Center
Send in a photo of your pet, and artist Heather Baker (@paperandpenny) will prep your 8×10 canvas with a custom sketch. You’ll fill it in with paint, shadowing, and love. One animal per painter—no pet wrangling required.

🍷 Paint + Sip: Summer Session

Wine in one hand, brush in the other. You’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the park at sunset. BYOB (beer/wine only) and expect a relaxing night with a little art and a lot of personality.
