Arabia Mountain is an often-overlooked respite from the hustle and bustle of life. It’s a favorite biking location for our kids, and a much-loved hiking location for me.

Morning Interpretive Hikes With Arabia Naturalists
8:00 am – 10:30 am FREE at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center
Join a guided hike with Arabia Mountain’s Naturalist to learn about Arabia’s ecology and human history. They will share our favorite spots and how to hike safely and responsibly to reduce impact. Please bring a refillable water bottle and comfortable walking shoes.

Monastery Of The Holy Spirit Highlights And Insights Tour
9:30 am – 12:00 pm $20 at Monastery of the Holy Spirit
Learn more about Conyer’s incredible Monastery of the Holy Spirit. Tour participants will revel in the profound beauty and history of one of the most magnificent places in Georgia during this special tour.
Docents will guide visitors on a remarkable journey through a place filled with purpose as visitors discover the spiritual landscape where Trappist monks live, work, and pray in a community cloistered from the outside world.

AWARE Animal Tours
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm FREE at Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (AWARE)
Meet some cool ambassador animals! AWARE offers tours at 1pm every Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting) at their facility at 4158 Klondike Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038. Tours are free but donations are always welcome to assist AWARE with its mission to rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife and educate the public. Come on out and meet turtles, owls, opossums and more.

Walk It Out Wednesdays With Ranger Doffice
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm for FREE at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center
Take a refreshing break from your daily routine, unwind amidst nature’s beauty, and energize your body with a brisk walk through Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. Embrace the serenity of nature while boosting your well-being, one step at a time, with Ranger Doffice.

Bike Rental for Tour with Arabia Mountain Rangers and Farmers’ Market Spree!
9:00 am – 2:00 pm for $25 at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center
Starting at the Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, experience the breathtaking beauty of National Heritage Area as you cycle along some of its scenic trails, guided by Arabia Mountain Rangers who will share fascinating insights about the area’s unique natural and cultural features. Along the journey, you’ll stop by The Lithonia Farmers’ Market, where you can explore a variety of fresh, locally-sourced produce, artisanal goods, and more.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, this event is perfect for all skill levels.
Bike rentals will be available on site with Aztec Cycles. Rentals are $25. You can also bring your own bike and helmet, if you have them.
