It’s time to zoom on over to Savoy Automobile Museum to see their two new super fun — and rad — temporary exhibitions!

The first exhibit, Movie Cars, showcases vehicles from box office hits like “Rain Main” and “War of the Roses.” Cinema is full of iconic cars, with some even being able to steal the spotlight away from the main characters — whether it’s because they are integral to the story, featured in the best scenes, or because they’re important to the character.

Movie Cars showcases the actual cars from the movies, with most being the “hero” car (the main car driven by the principal actor).

Automobiles included in the Movie Cars exhibit include…

  • 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T from “Vanishing Point”
  • 1963 Buick Riviera “Villa Riviera” from “For Those Who Think Young”
  • 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible from “Rain Man”
  • 1960 Morgan Plus Four from “War of Roses”
  • 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe from “American Graffiti”
  • 1984 Ford LTD Country Squire – Family Truckster from “Vacation”
  • 1954 Mercury XM-800 from “Women’s World”
  • 1964 Leslie Special from “The Great Race”
  • 1925 Chevrolet Superior Roadster from “Killers of the Flower Moon”

The Movie Cars exhibition will be on display at Savoy now through August 4, 2024.

The second exciting temporary exhibit is called Rad Cars of Savoy. RADwood is an event movement in the automotive hobby world devoted to celebrating the 80s and 90s automotive lifestyle. The RADwood name was coined by co-founder and COO Warren Madsen, and is a take-off on The Goodwood Revival in England, the only historic motor race meeting to be staged entirely in a period theme.

RADwood is an immersive celebration of iconic cars and fashion, and you’re going to want to see these radical cars! This exhibition showcases vehicles from the Savoy Collection built in the 80s and 90s.

Automobiles included in the Rad Cars of Savoy exhibition include…

  • 1981 DeLorean DMC-12
  • 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL
  • 1990 Cadillac Allanté
  • 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10
  • 1999 Plymouth Prowler

The exhibit is open now through August 25, 2024.

Savoy Automobile Museum is located at 3 Savoy Lane in Cartersville, GA. Business hours are Tuesday – Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. For more information, visit
