4 Things You will Love About RVing With Your Family

We have been traveling full time in our RV for over 3 years and have seen how amazing this lifestyle is. There are definitely challenges that come along with it, but overall, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives. These amazing qualities of RVing are applicable no matter if you RV full time or just on weekends.

Here are some of our favorite things to love about RVing.

When you’re out cruising the open road, not necessarily knowing where you’re going next, you get the sense of adventure like no other. You may be driving through the mountains, alongside an ocean, or even in a downtown metropolis, but the feeling that comes along with it is fantastic especially in a small RV.

The wind in your hair, the open road in front of you, it’s like being in a movie.

Along with that adventure, the feeling of freedom is amazing. With an RV, you have the flexibility to stay in a multitude of RV parks, parking lots, even a friend’s driveway. You can pick up and go when you want, plan an epic road trip that spans thousands of miles or visit somewhere you’ve always dreamed of visiting on the spur of the moment.

The cost of traveling in an RV also provides some freedom as it’s typically less expensive than other means of travel.

Minimized Living

This day in age, people have a tendency to have a lot of things. They go to the store and impulse buy and come home with a cart full of items they had no intention of getting when they went to the store in the first place.

When traveling in an RV, you have limited space for the things you bring with you. This means you have to be very intentional and put some thought into the things you’re bringing with on your trip.

While this can seem to be an annoyance, it is also a great feeling of having only the things you actually use with you. And most of those things have multiple uses. It is actually a great feeling knowing your life isn’t cluttered with all those unnecessary items.

Another great perk of RVing is the experiences you have along the way. So many memories are made not just when you get to your destination, but also during the journey itself.

We’ve gone on trips where we’ve had more fun by taking a back road instead of the main highway and finding something we would have never even known existed. While most people are zipping past on the highway, we were exploring the real town.

This is also a great way to meet new people and experience their culture. There are so many different cultures in the U.S. alone that experiencing them gives you such a great connection to that area of the country.

These are just a few of the things we love about RVing, but there are so many more. We’ve grown so close as a family, have enjoyed and appreciated downtime so much more and have seen so many great sites.

Definitely give RVing a try and see if you love it as much as we do!

Bryanna, her husband, 4 kids, and 2 dogs sold everything, bought an RV and have been traveling full-time around the US since May 2014. If they aren’t out climbing mountains, hiking to a waterfall or playing at the beach they are most likely at the local donut shop trying to find the best donuts in the US! They write about things to do with kids at the destinations they visit, deepening your family bond through travel, full time family travel and working from the road at www.crazyfamilyadventure.com.
