Blast Off Atlanta! Take Your Kids to a Hands-On Model Rocket Workshop

I’ve had the joy of building many model rockets with my kids over the years. And along with it the frustration of losing some to the trees, or god knows where else in the north metro area. You just can’t beat the look on your kids face when they count down from ten and hit that launch button.

If you’re new to sport rocketry, or just want to take part in a more controlled environment, read on, because the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville is hosting a three-hour workshop in February that will take you and your child from start to finish – including the launch.

Move over Musk and Bezos – The Tellus Science Museum invites you to join their Build + Blast Model Rocket Workshop on February 10th. Act fast because registration closed at noon on February 7th, or whenever the spots fill up.

The workshops are 3 hours long, and staggered between the hours of 10AM and 3PM and tickets are only valid for your assigned time slot. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket. They do have a strict rule of children 8+ only.

Workshop attendees will build and blast their own model rocket. As an added bonus, Tellus Volunteer and NASA Ambassador Chris Thompson will update you on the latest NASA technologies.

Sign up soon – spots are filling fast.
