Skate the Sky Returns

Starting Friday, November 29, The Roof at Ponce City Market will once again host its iconic “Skate the Sky.” The 3,500-square-foot ice rink, perched 10 stories above Ponce de Leon Avenue, offers stunning views and seasonal fun. Skaters of all ages can enjoy 50 minutes of skating, skate rentals, unlimited gameplay, and access to The Roof with an all-inclusive ticket.

Prices are $30 for adults and $22 for children. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Hours align with The Roof’s regular schedule. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult skater.

Cozy Up in Rooftop Igloos

From November 29 through January 5, guests can reserve private, festively decorated igloos on The Roof. Perfect for groups of up to six, the igloos come with food platters, skate rentals, and access to Skyline Park’s games and rides. Weekday visitors at 3 p.m. receive complimentary bubbly or hot chocolate.

For a dining-focused experience, the igloos at 9 Mile Station offer full-service meals and beverages. Reservations are highly recommended.

Wrap Gifts with a Creative Twist

On weekends from November 30 to December 24, the Misfit DIY Wrapping Co. opens its doors on the second floor of the Central Food Hall. Visitors can wrap their holiday gifts with quirky paper, ribbons, and other unique decorations.

Suggested donations benefit RoleCall Theater, an Atlanta nonprofit supporting local arts. Special Misfit Maker Workshops will also be hosted throughout the season.

Shop for Holiday Cheer

The Trees for Tuition Holiday Tree Market, starting November 29, features Fraser Fir trees, wreaths, garlands, and tree stands. Customers can opt for delivery and even tree pickup post-holiday. All proceeds go toward scholarships for local students, a tradition started by Midtown High School alumni.

Holiday shopping continues at The Village Retail’s Holiday Makers Market, taking place every Saturday through December 21. Guests can explore handmade goods, including candles, jewelry, vegan products, and more. Interested vendors can apply online to participate.

Sip, Snap, and Celebrate

The Roof’s Holiday Social Bar, open through January 5, offers seasonal cocktails in a decked-out space perfect for photos. Meanwhile, 12 Cocktail Bar hosts “MixMas” every Friday night starting December 13, with themed cocktail classes ideal for groups or private bookings.

On Saturdays through December 21, Santa Claus will visit the Central Food Hall for free photo opportunities. From noon to 4 p.m., families can capture their festive moments—just bring your camera. Santa will also make appearances on The Roof during select hours.
