The Pink Pig is Back! (In a New Location)

I’m tickled pink to tell you that The Pink Pig is back in the Atlanta area this year — but she’s now in a new location with a new look.

The Pink Pig is Back! (In a New Location)

If you’ve lived in Atlanta for any amount of time, you’ve surely heard of The Pink Pig. This cute train ride had been an Atlanta staple for more than 70 years — first as a children’s ride at the downtown Rich’s department store and more recently at Macy’s at Lenox Square. The Pink Pig didn’t run in 2020 due to COVID, and then Macy’s announced in 2021 that they would not be bringing The Pink Pig back.

But now, she is back at the Georgia Festival of Trees!

This year, The Georgia Festival of Trees is bringing The Pink Pig back as a highlight of their 2024 event, but with a modern twist. The updated train with a fresh, new look is a rail-less, open ride providing a unique trek through the festival.

You can enjoy the new Pink Pig train with advance VIP (Very Important Piggy) tickets. This ticket provides a VIP line and a special souvenir for every rider. Pink Pig Train Tickets are $5/person, plus tax and fees.

You must also have a ticket to the Georgia Festival of Trees to ride The Pink Pig. The Georgia Festival of Trees will take place November 23 – December 1, 2024 at a new location, Gas South Convention Center in Duluth. The festival is closed on November 27-28 for Thanksgiving.

Happy riding!
