Concerts return to the Gainesville Garden’s beautiful Ivester Amphitheater this fall, featuring Old Crow Medicine Show, hailed by Nashville Scene as the “great commercial folk-country group of our era.”
Old Crowe Medicine Show will be at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens Gainesville amphitheater on Friday, October 11th at 8pm.
The band has been around since the late nineties and have been described as having an old-time string sound fueled by punk rock energy. They were inducted as members into the Grand Ole Opry in 2013 which is one of the highest honors in country music.
You may be familiar with their hit Wagon Wheel which is not without controversy, co-written by Bob Dylan and band founder Ketch Secor in the early 70’s and later covered by Darius Rucker among others.
The Atlanta Botanical Gardens Gainesville location opened in 2015 and includes a 2,000-seat amphitheater, five acres of gardens, two miles of walking trails, a model train garden, and a visitor center.
Other acts in the concert series include Keb’ Mo’ & Shawn Colvin on September 29th.
Tickets available here. Catered dinner boxes delivered to the Old Crowe Medicine Show concert are available for pre-order through Oct. 8. Donor-level members and above are eligible for Platinum tickets benefits, including early entry and reserved parking.
