May Mushrooms: Connect with Georgia's Fungi Fans

May in Atlanta is mushroom season… and it only makes sense that Trees Atlanta would honor the symbiosis between the city’s giants and their miniature friends.

Mar 16 – Speaker Series: Kingdom of Fungi with Sam Landes

Much of life on Earth is connected by a vast, hidden network that we are only just beginning to understand. Out of sight, between the world of plants and animals, another world exists – the kingdom of fungi.

These organisms are not only vital to forest ecosystems but are the puppet masters of all life on Earth. Understanding how fungus functions within the soil provides important insight on the impact on our urban forest.

Join Trees Atlanta for a presentation on Georgia mushrooms and everything fungi from Mushroom Club of Georgia. Doors open at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is free, but please consider making a donation when reserving a space. Registration is required; sign up here.
