A new type of adventure has entered the Atlanta scene over the past couple of years — the immersive experience. Immersive experiences can be anything from entering a set-like atmosphere to feel like you’re a part of your favorite television show, to “walking through” and being surrounded by paintings by your favorite artists.
No matter what type of immersive experience you’re looking for, Atlanta, Georgia has become home base to several of these amazingly produced events.
Here are 11+ amazing immersive experiences in Atlanta happening in December 2024.
TITANIC: AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Titanic: An Immersive Voyage will let you experience the tale of Titanic like never before. This new immersive experience features over 300 artifacts, life-sized reconstructed rooms, 3D views, video animations, and state-of-the-art iconic tragedies.
From the ship’s grand construction to its fatal collision with an iceberg, you’ll be able to full immersive yourself in the captive story of Titanic. During Titanic: An Immersive Voyage, you’ll be able to wander through its lavish halls, watch the iceberg appear, and relive the ship’s dramatic final moments in an immersive gallery.
VIP Tickets include a VR experience that lets you feel like you’re examine Titanic’s wreck site. Titanic: An Immersive Experience is at Exhibition Hub Atlanta Art Center on Buford Highway. It runs through the end of January 2025.

HORIZON OF KHUFU: A JOURNEY IN ANCIENT EGYPT
Horizon of Khufu has landed in Atlanta, completely reshaping the immersive experience. Step back into the golden age of ancient Egypt, where you can relive the reign of King Khufu and explore the iconic pyramids from 4500 years ago…
Horizon of Khufu is a fully immersive virtual reality experience that’s located right on the Atlanta BeltLine at Illuminarium Atlanta on Somerset Terrace. For ages 8+. It debuted in April and runs through January 12, 2025.

DISCOVERING THE WORLD OF JESUS: THE EXHIBITION
Step into history with Discovering the World of Jesus: The Exhibition, where the past comes alive through over 350 priceless artifacts from the Holy Land. Witness the stories of the New Testament like never before through groundbreaking displays and rare archaeological finds—including items used by those who lived and walked alongside Jesus.
This exhibition is taking place at Pullman Yards in Atlanta December 6, 2024 – January 31, 2025. This exhibition is appropriate for all ages. Children under 8 are FREE.

LIFE CHRONICLES: AN IMMERSIVE VR JOURNEY
Dive into the history of life itself with Life Chronicles, an immersive expedition covering 3.5 billion years of the Earth’s history and living organisms. Equipped with a virtual reality headset, you will be transported back in time to the Earth’s origins, before embarking on an epic adventure through the planet’s major evolutionary phases.
Admire picturesque paleo-landscapes of major geological periods, and meet all kinds of spectacular species along the way… including dinosaurs, huge millipedes, and marine reptiles!
This 45-minute immersive VR journey is for ages 8+ and is located on Somerset Terrace in Atlanta. This event runs through January 12, 2025.

SPRAY PAINT AND SIP
Spray ‘n’ Sip by Studio W.I.P. invites you to learn all the ins and outs of working with spray paint and other elements of graffiti and street art at this interactive workshop. Tap into your creativity and unleash your inner street artist!
Learn the ins and outs of working with spray paint and stencils that your favorite muralists employ. You’ll be able to unleash your inner street artist on your own canvas, with a private instructor helping you along the way.

CANDLELIGHT CONCERTS
Candlelight Concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations. Enjoy musical tributes to artists such as Adele or Coldplay, or take in a themed concert like their Hip Hop on Strings.
The music is usually performed by a string quartet, and is held at different locations like The Chapel on Sycamore or Magnolia Hall at Piedmont Park. This is a magical and unique way to hear music you know and love.

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a brand-new 360º digital art exhibition in Atlanta that invites you to step into the universe of the Dutch genius, Vincent van Gogh. This exhibit is back for a second time and has now re-opened with an entirely new show!
Discover a new way to enjoy the works of Vincent van Gogh, and immerse yourself in the artist’s masterpieces with a 360-degree digital show. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind VR experience that allows you to travel through 8 works and their source of inspiration in “A Day in the Life of the Artist in Arles France.”
You’ll experience digital displays, sound effects, projection mapping, and more. Currently, dates are open through the end of December.

DISNEY’S LITTLE MERMAID x CAMP EXPERIENCE
The CAMP store in Atlanta is offers an interactive immersive experience that will make you feel like you’ve entered the underwater world of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid x CAMP Experience immerses you in a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. Families can climb, slide, sing, dance, and play in the world of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Beat the Bomb is kind of like an escape room experience…but even more immersive. Beat the Bomb requires all players to work together to win, and if you don’t — you get blasted with paint or foam! (Just so you know…only about 10% of teams actually Beat the Bomb. Ha!)
Choose from 1-hour missions, where you suit up in hazmat gear, dodge lasers, and crack codes to Beat The Bomb. ACTIVATE ATLANTA
Activate, an indoor, interactive gaming experience fusing technology with physical activity, is now open in Atlanta at Suite A, 4540 Roswell Road. This is a different type of immersive experience. At Activate Atlanta, you’re basically immersed in games.
Made up of high-tech games that test a team or individual’s physical and mental agility across a wide variety of real-life challenges, Activate allows players to choose from hundreds of combinations and difficulty levels, each lasting one to three minutes. From a laser maze to arcade-style basketball hoops, there are a host of rooms for guests to play in, creating a unique experience every single time. RFID wristbands track participants’ scores and progress throughout making it perfect for a casual night out or intense competition.

Activate Atlanta is now open from 10am to 10pm, Sunday-Thursday, and 10am to 11pm, Friday-Saturday. Activate is designed for players ages 10 and up, and is best for groups of at least two players.
