Have you heard about the (affordable) walking tours being offered by High Museum? Register now for October’s tour!
Walk alongside local creatives, historians, and other community members in tours that focus on topics including public art, street art, architecture, and cultural histories.
Art and About Walking Tours take place throughout the year in different Atlanta neighborhoods, and each includes a walking distance of one to two miles.
October’s tour is led by Joshua Robinson, a writer and educator based in Atlanta. This walking tour will explore hip-hop’s relationship with modern and contemporary art.
Centering the neighborhood of Little Five Points, the tour will show participants the artistic hub’s array of street art, creative boutiques, and top-notch music and fashion.
Through guided exploration, participants will learn about the intersections of music and art and their significance to what’s on view at the museum.
This tour will begin on the corner of McLendon Avenue and Moreland Avenue and will cover about one mile of walking distance. Assistive listening devices will be provided, and lightweight collapsible stools may be requested in advance.
Art and About Walking Tour: Little Five Points is Wednesday, October 15 at 1pm and 6pm
