Glow in the Park Coming to Suwanee

Get your lanterns ready — Glow in the Park is coming up!

The Suwanee Arts Center is partnering once again with the City of Suwanee for Glow in the Park — and they’re offering some great lantern workshops leading up to the big day!

Glow in the Park will take place on on Saturday, April 19, 2025 just after 8pm. Everyone is invited to create glowing or illuminated costumes and bring their pre-made, battery-powered lanterns (no live flames, please!) to light up the streets during the 1-mile community parade surrounding Town Center Park.

This fun and FREE event is family- and pet-friendly, so bring your loved ones for a night full of fun.

You can pick up a DIY Lantern Kit at the Suwanee Arts Center or at the Suwanee Arts Festival to get started. Kits come in various colors and sizes and prices vary. You can take one home and get creative with your own design.

If you’re looking for a little more help, Suwanee Arts Center is also offering Lantern Making Workshops so you can decorate your lantern with all kinds of fun materials. Workshops are $30 per person and includes 1 paper lantern, 1 bamboo stick, 1 LED light, and all your decorating supplies. All ages are welcome, and kids 8 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. Space is limited for the workshops, so register now!
