After a festival weekend at Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park, we have nothing but great things to say about this hotel! Visiting Downtown Atlanta from out of town? Looking for a stay-cation option for your Atlanta family? Want to take a date night weekend like we did? Whatever your reason, this is your hotel!
Location, Location, Location
It’s difficult to get a hotel in a better location than this! You’re right across the street from the College Football Hall of Fame and Centennial Olympic Park. You can walk across the park to easily get to the Georgia Aquarium, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola and the National Center for Civil & Human Rights. Perfect for family fun, right?
And if you’re seeing a show or watching a concert, it’s ideal too. You’re right next to the Georgia Dome and Philips Arena.
Right from our window was a spectacular view of the SkyView Ferris Wheel!
Free Breakfast Buffet
Every guest is welcomed with tickets to the HUGE breakfast buffet. It includes pastries, cereals, fruit…grits and oatmeal…warm selections like bacon, eggs and sausage….made-to-order omelets…plus a full beverage station.
You may be familiar with Ruth’s Chris Steak House, known for theirEmbassy Suites by Hilton partnership. You can dine here for dinner (or order room service,) but in the morning it is decked with your delicious breakfast.
I really loved taking breakfast out on the veranda, enjoying the spring weather and breeze, and people-watching passersby at the park next door.
Complimentary Drinks & Snacks
Each evening from 5:30-7:30 guests can hit the lobby for beer, wine and light appys. It’s a great way to relax before heading out to a dinner reservation, or a place to gather while you are waiting on friends.
If you have the kids, you don’t have to skip the drinks. In the giant lobby area, where you’ll find the cocktail hour, there is also a Family Friendly Zone with cute chairs for kids, coloring pages, and small toys.
Every room atEmbassy Suites by Hilton is in-fact, a suite. We were alone for the weekend (thanks to the grandparents) but we still appreciated the extra space.
The front room included multiple chairs, a desk, TV, sofa (that makes into a bed) and ample lighting. This space also opened to the space with a closet, fridge, tea and coffee service and restroom.
The bedroom door can be closed – great for times the kids are with you. It included a large bed, TV, dresser and plenty of additional space.
Swimming Pool & Starbucks
The rooftop pool is a must-see! It’s fun, super clean…and oh – it’s heated!! We love a good pool for helping coax the kids to sleep at night.
We also love the Starbucks (a real Starbucks…not a corner of the hotel serving Starbucks coffee.) And if adding Swimming Pool and Starbucks together in one bullet point sounds strange to you, you’ve obviously never been woken by two crazy boys at 6am because they were excited to go swimming!
