6 Million Christmas Lights in the Smoky Mountains are Lit

Holiday magic fills Dollywood during Smoky Mountain Christmas, with festive displays and lights around every corner. It’s no wonder this event has been crowned a “legend” after winning “best of” 15 years straight by the Golden Ticket Awards. Come visit Nov. 1, 2024 – Jan 5, 2025.

Everywhere you go, joy comes to life with immersive experiences. In Wildwood Grove, you can catch “Snow in the Grove,” where snow falls on Wildwood Creek as the iconic Wildwood Tree lights up each evening. And keep an eye out for Roly and Poly, Dollywood’s playful Christmas characters, who join in the wintery fun. On Fridays and Saturdays, the “Merry and Bright!” fireworks add a colorful close to the day.

New this season is the enchanting “Christmas Reflections” in Rivertown. As darkness falls, the pond glows with reflections from five stunning trees, adding to the wonder of over six million lights across the park. Glacier Ridge, presented by Goo Goo Cluster, returns to Timber Canyon, Wildwood Grove, and Wilderness Pass, blanketing the night with vibrant light displays.

Dollywood’s entertainment lineup sparkles just as bright. Heidi Parton debuts her show, “A Christmas To Remember,” in Dreamsong Theater, sharing stories and songs from her family traditions. Fan favorites like “Christmas in the Smokies” and “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” also return, lighting up the stages both indoors and out.

For a unique visit with Santa, drop by “Santa’s List… Naughty or Nice?” and catch him finalizing his list in his cozy Smoky Mountain cabin. He’s there until Christmas Eve, so don’t miss the chance for a chat!

And it wouldn’t be the holidays without treats. Dollywood’s chefs have whipped up a menu of holiday delights, from rosemary garlic white pizza to red velvet whoopie pies and peppermint twist cupcakes. There’s even gingerbread and traditional sugar cookies for those who crave a little extra sweetness.

If you’re craving a thrill, most rides stay open during Christmas, offering beautiful views of Dollywood’s sparkling lights.

At Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, every corner is dressed in holiday cheer. Gather around the two-story Christmas tree in the lobby or watch the Christmas Tree Show by the pool. Song & Hearth offers seasonal meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, giving you a cozy place to gather.

Celebrating its first anniversary on Nov. 3, HeartSong Lodge & Resort brings the holiday spirit to life with Smoky Mountain-inspired décor and the warm glow of the lobby’s four-story windows. Dine at Ember & Elm for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals rooted in the Smokies.

For the gift of year-round memories, a Dollywood Season Pass is a great way to bring loved ones into the magic.
