Château Élan Winery & Resort – the award-winning winery and culinary destination in the rolling foothills of North Georgia – is proud to announce the resort’s inaugural Culinary & Wine Classic, set to take place on November 10, 2024, from 12pm to 5pm. This premier event promises an afternoon of unparalleled culinary excellence and fine wine, complimented by live entertainment as well as an appearance + tastings from award-winning Chef Kevin Gillespie.

The Château Élan Culinary & Wine Classic will feature an exciting lineup of programming designed for the most discerning tastemakers and connoisseurs.
The day will include a vibrant array of entertainment, artisanal tastings from celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie – James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: Southeast semifinalist and finalist as well as fan favorite on Bravo’s “Top Chef” season six + finalist on “Top Chef All-Stars,” decadent bites from Chateau Elan chefs as well as vertical and specialty wine samplings, throughout multiple locations on property.
Additionally, there will be live art performances and a collaborative painting exhibit, intertwining visual artistry with culinary excellence. Under the guidance of esteemed master winemaker, Simone Bergese, the opening ceremony promises to be a spectacle of refinement and charm followed by unique wine involvements including private tastings and the rare opportunity to create your own bespoke wine blend to enjoy long after the event.

Some of the amazing food stations include…
- Sous Chef June Jang’s demonstration of whole salmon fabrication and wild mushroom risotto with basil pesto sauce.
- Creating three unique vinaigrettes — balsamic, herb, and lemon honey. Each guest can take home their favorite, bottled by Chateau Elan.
- Delight in smoked herb-crusted Wagyu tenderloin and vegan cannelloni with Banquets Sous Chef Radley King.
- Discover the intricate artistry behind Japanese rice balls (Onigiri) filled with salmon, dried bonito flakes, tuna, and pickled plum. Banquets Chef James Mundy will also prepare Japanese spare ribs with plum sauce and braised wings with lemon pepper, soy, garlic, and ginger.
- Learn how to build your own charcuterie board with Banquets Sous Chef Ayoub Yassa. Enjoy small bites like shrimp ceviche, fried deviled eggs, and ratatouille caprese slider. Watch the demonstration on creating roses from salami and pepperoni.
- Satisfy your sweet tooth with Pastry Chef Joebeth Marin-Gaddy’s luscious Mississippi Mud Pie, chocolate truffles, and apple cider cart. The mud pie layers brownie, vanilla bean cheesecake, dark chocolate mousse, whipped cream, and whiskey caramel sauce, all topped with a chocolate truffle.
