Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition to wonderful meals (including buffet, casual sit down or fine dining), the holidays are a very special time at the Gardens. The Georgia weather is perfect for a bike ride along the trails during the day, then plan a visit to the Festival of Lights along Lake Robin in the evening. It’s a gorgeous run through the Garden paths, past the Butterfly house, the Memorial Chapel, and through gently rolling hills.

Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival. I have not been to this festival, but it has been on my bucket list for a while. There are tons of family friendly activities, but the highlight of course are the many, many hot air balloons that fire up for the Friday Night Balloon Glow.
