Schedule Set for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival in February

The schedule is set and tickets are on sale for the 24th Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. The festival will take place at various theaters from February 13th to the 26th with select title available to stream February 27th to March 7th.

The festival covers five different venues – the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, the Tara Theatre, the historic Plaza Theatre in Midtown, GTC Merchants Walk in East Cobb, and Springs Cinema & Taphouse in Sandy Springs. Select films will be broadcast in the AJFF’s Virtual Theater according to the same in-person schedule, and starting February 27th some titles will also be available to stream.

Audiences will be treated to both live and recorded Q&A sessions along with the films.

From the AJFF – “This year’s lineup features a diverse array of 48 feature films and 15 shorts from 20 countries, including 3 World Premieres, 6 North American Premieres, 2 U.S. Premieres, and 13 Southeast Premieres.”

Awards are given via a select jury, who’s members include Atlanta’s own Alton Brown, and screenwriter Eric Warren Singer of American Hustle and Top Gun Maverick fame.

The categories include Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Short Film, Emerging Filmmaker, Building Bridges (films that promote understanding among diverse groups) and Human Rights. (films that capture the perseverance and strength of individuals facing bigotry, inequality, and persecution)

Trailers and previews are available, and tickets are very reasonably priced. Purchase tickets by first selecting the evening you want to attend. Be sure to read the description for each event. Some evenings include live music, performances and food.
