If you’re raising little music lovers, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has something truly special for your family. The Music for the Very Young Concert Series blends classical music with storytelling, creating magical 45-minute performances designed for kids aged 3 to 8. And let’s be honest—parents will probably love it, too.

Here’s how it works: actors and musicians come together to bring your favorite tales to life. The kids don’t just sit and watch—they get to engage with the story as it unfolds, building early literacy skills and experiencing live classical music.
Next up: “The Lion and the Mouse”
Mark your calendars for January 18 and 19, 2025. This time, the orchestra will explore the timeless Aesop fable, The Lion and the Mouse, with a focus on kindness and friendship. It’s storytelling with a side of chamber music, perfect for curious young minds (and their grownups).
Tickets are free for kids 7 and under, while older siblings (and adults!) are just $10 each.
Past Favorites Still Shine
In 2024, audiences fell in love with performances of The Velveteen Rabbit and The Ant and the Grasshopper. And even though those concerts are over, you can still keep the magic alive at home.
The ASO Education team has curated Spotify playlists for the series—find them on their website. It’s like taking a piece of the concert experience with you wherever you go.
This is more than just music. It’s an experience that reminds us all—big and small—of the beauty in kindness, friendship, and the arts.
